How bad on an idea is it to be looking at a 17 KTM 250XC-W as a first bike?

Lots to be said for buying a new bike but they are big bucks. Quality used bikes can be hard to find but they do come up.

Add 500 for rad/skid/hand guards and tax and your 12g out the door. I have a 2013 and it's a great bike but I bought it used with 10 hours on it for way less then new.

Ask for a first bike. A Ktm 200 -300 are all great bikes and you will dial your riding style into whatever you get. They are all fun

Little-Loopie just asked me the other day what you've been doing bike-wise and do you happen to have "his" bike for sale? or any other?

I rode litte loopies bike for 3 years, it served me well. riding a 2013 KTM 250XC as my dirt ride, and the 500 is set up for dual sport in the summer and snowbike in the winter.

I owe part of my moto addiction to you for taking me out on my first dirt ride in Kamloops, 7 or 8 years ago.

Rossco, offer still stands to go dirt riding if you feel like trying it

[Your] saying things, I'm asking things.

If I have å ƒ25,748,073, can I just call up RBC and deposit it there?

no but you can wire it from your hong kong bank account, just like you dont need to go down to the USA with a suitcase of cash to buy a property.

Im all for taxing foreign ownership but this money laundering aspect is not the issue in most cases IMO

You forgot to end that with, "I only play a lawyer on TV".

In the context of BC housing, what international laws are relevant?

In the context of BC how do I, as a foreigner, bring $5,000,000 in cash into the country?

In the context of your second sentence, your random word generator is working to perfection.

A wise man once said, "There's something fucky going on".

how do you buy a house in phoenix? or costa rica ? your saying you need to launder the money illegally to do so ?

its called a wire transfer

Funny that, ain't it. Seems so easy yet it hasn't been done. Almost like a certain group of people that run the show don't want to go there.

because they are not breaking international laws only Chinese ones. are Canadians buying homes in winter phoenix money launderers as well.

Ride more, bitch less.

the 500exc gets rolling this week and I need to take a trip down south to pick up all my riding kit that I ordered to shipping place on the border.

plan to throw the bike in the truck and break in the beast on some backroads and mellow single track. If you have any beta Ned please pass along.

2-3 days
closer to the border the better but I could go a 3-4 hours if it was worth it
have the Baja tank still installed and 80/20 dirt/paved tires installed so would like to keep the single track pretty tame.
riding solo

on my ride more bitch less content - 2 days up country on the 250, 1 day in the whistler bike park with the kids, 1 day trials local 1 day vedder on the 250 and a day of old school mtb shuttles on cypress followed by a Korean rib BBQ with the shuttlewhores

Do you buy from worldwidecyclery?

No they don't.

But they do have a video on how to install a press fit bottom bracket using Mayonnaise instead of the usual condiments :)

Its OK ill still buy from them online. I only post my outrage at the difficulties of the global marketplace on forums, Facebook and the occasional online petition.

Where else can you find a new dropper for almost $100 CDN less than CRC?

https://www.worldwidecyclery.com/

It pays to shop around.

And most online retailers (including REI and Backcountry) will match any advertised online price.

ka-ching$

I wonder if they pay a squamish BC living wage

Ya the big tank is definitely a selling point. I don't get why manufacturers insist on the smallest gas tank possible.

the fuel mileage is good but when you tow it goes to shit.

Good to know. Buddy in his f150!says he gets 900k to a tank. Seems like a better way to go.

I get 900-1000 per tank in my ecoboost but its a 136 liter tank

all those old trailers [HTML_REMOVED] tent trailers are rotten wood

the exception is the boler types of FG travel trailers, my buddy had one he affectionately referred to as "the septic tank"

they don't rot and they don't leak cuz they are built on that very same principle

an old FG trailer is worth 3 times what it sold for in 1975

frames on old shit like that (old tent trailers and bolers) are also rusting apart. funny thing is someone stole my old 75 bonair that I had planned to take to the dump one day. only piss off is they got my camping chairs and hotdog sticks
