Here's my new Banshee Prime v3.2...no weight yet as I don't own a bike scale...but it's hella fun out on the trails.

To pile on this tire thread... I'm having decision paralysis like no tomorrow, and I'm just trying to pick out a set of tires to have as a backup. Why are there so many freaking tires?!

They are awesome but sketchy to use on top caps. It's really better to engage on all 6 sides. 

The park set at 50 bucks for a whole set is tought to beat.

A 22 hr lifespan for a chain sounds short. What chain and ring combo are you running?

Yup, 22hrs is super short. I think I got a shit chain. It's an fsa chain and a snaggletooth Blackspire chainring.

What do these chains measure when new?

I bought a SRAM shifter clamp when I installed Shimano brakes.  It held the shifter in place for $5 instead of $25 and didn’t mark up my handlebar. 

Great success.

Update on my Privateer: 

• Nukeproof Horizon v2 wheels;
• SLX 12-speed group; 
• 200mm Galfer wave rotors;
• Ergon grips and saddle.

It rolls around and the hub sounds buzzy. Everything is snowed in up here still, so we'll see if it changes my life going to wider rims and shorter cranks.

Also, I put on a basic black alloy bottle cage. and lo-and-behold, bottles go in and out just fine. Lezyne must be part of the "Big Bottle Cage" cabal trying to sell snake oil with their flow cages. I may still get a stainless king cage, but we shall see.

Had an order from Bike24 somehow sail through. No duty/taxes collected on ~300 euros worth of parts and clothing. I just used their standard shipping option.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I picked it up at the post office. YMMV.

It’s a fine combination of scraping the paint off a brand new carbon bike with a bush knife and ripped quads in jorts that brings the fame.

Still on this machine. Privateer 141. It's gonna get a revamp in the next few weeks in preparation for spring. Shipping notifications arrived in my inbox today, so I'll update this post once all the lovely new bits arrive.

Still on the lookout for a side-ish entry bottle cage that doesn't suck, isn't a specialized z-cage, preferably made of metal, and isn't a $70 ti sideloader king cage even if they make me drool. Any suggestions? The Lezyne cage I'm using is secure, but damn if it isn't pretty much impossible to use while rolling.
