I know it's discouraged to talk about fatbiking here :), but I'm looking for a very water resistant but thin glove for it.  When I fall over and flounder about in the snow trying to get back on my bike (which can happen many times a 'ride'), most gloves soak through pretty quickly. I tend to use pogies so I don't need a lot of insulation, but I do want them highly water resistant. Do you think these SubZeros might handle this (mis)use case?

I assume that experience drove you to lose your trust in 54T? After avoiding them for years, I recently picked some up after a few internet searches didn't reveal 54T carnage when used for MTB. We'll see how they fare. Currently I mostly find them a bit too loud, but the engagement is noticeable.

I do carry the 36T set in my pack on every ride, though :)

Some of the rockier/antiflow trails here actually ride faster in winter than summer, due to the low-pass filter that is deep, packed snow. It's enjoyably disorienting

Nice review. I currently have OneUp composites, and based on your previous (also nice) articles on concave vs convex pedals, I am interested in trying a concave composite pedal (my timing in general is bad) to see if that fits my preferred foot placement better. Cursory searches for concave pedals tend to pull up Al ones rather than composite ones, or super thick composites. Do you have thoughts on concave composites? These seem nice, but neutral.

Nice. The REEB SST has similar travel numbers (and build material), but it sounds like it rides quite differently. That's interesting (to me at least)

I may have missed them, but are there more pics/drawings of the lower link on your site?  I'm interested in how the concentric pivot goes together. 

The rear triangle and lower pivot gives me pleasant memories of my old Bronson v1. I enjoyed that bike.
