Holy shit, this could not be more timely! I broke my neck in Feb last year, and had to take the summer off. Have been battling a bit of a mental block since, but decided that I need to get back into things again. Riding bikes makes me a better person.

I have a bone stock 2014 Remedy 9 29"er and was just looking at it last week, thinking I need to upgrade some speccs, or sell it for something new. Nothing like some new gear to get you excited again. Having two young boys, there is not a ton of room left in the budget, so this article is perfect! Thank you!

Need "new posts" search urgently. Without this, endless clicking around all over the place to try to find what is new.

and? you still need to manually navigate to the first new post in each thread, also requesting unread topics loads way too long, several seconds. someone's code is not fast...

Clicking the little arrow under the thread name will take you to the last post in the thread.

I would loose the top bar on scroll for mobile (logo and hamburger). Have it reappear when you scroll up. This would free up precious screen space, especially in landscape.

The new forum is faster and cleaner and a change was needed for sure, but there are a few tweaks I would do in order to make it a bit more user-friendly.

• Remove the Subject in replies. Having "Re: NSMB 4.0" in every post is redundant.
• Highlight the thread names better on mobile. Right now they blend into the nickname of the poster and the last to reply. The thread name is bold, but not enough to make it stick out properly.
• Is there a way to turn off signatures? I would def have this.

I just got one these Katadyn BeFree bottles. Great flow compared to the straws and rolls up to fit in a pocket.

I've been running a two-wire furnace-only setup with a Nest 2nd gen thermostat for a couple of years now without a problem. FWIW, the wiring harness configuration is: black to 'W1' and red to 'Rc'.

Mine is a 2nd gen as well. After days of back and forth it simply wouldn't work and I ended up pulling new wire.

Sweet that you guys didn't have to go that far.

Yep, all we have is a furnace as well. I tried connecting it, and it would work for 5 minutes, then turn off.
