Just do me a small favour and use your favourite search engine to seek out "Crankset Failure and Deceptive Specifications on Giant Electric Mountain Bikes", and read up on my experience. It's a couple of years old now but should provide some insight that you could use to look at things a bit more critically. And remember to focus on the big picture, including the ethics and design issues involved, not just the specific part that failed catastrophically.
