Tonestar, do you happen to know binding setback numbers for 2014 Line Sir Francis Bacons?

Are you talking about the recommended mounting point from Line? Or something else?

Don't have the information off hand, but can make an enquiry.

Attached is a picture. Looking at the other one it looks like it went all the way around but it didn't break as it's too symmetrical.

So my guess is first gen. Does that look correct?

This has been awesome guys. Thanx so much!

Yup, that us the 1st Gen, you just need the retention clip, all should be good. Like I said, it can be installed without removing the binding, or an of the binding parts. It's not easy to get on, takes some manipulation and a little force.

By the way, as far as the brake problem goes, it sounds like you have the 1st Generation with a retention clip, when that goes missing the brake can slide forward. The 2nd Gen can't slide, as it is around the post.

Repair can be done without removing binding or any parts on the binding.

PM me if you are in Vancouver, I have the clips.

Can't remove the binding without having to remount somewhere else and far away for screw holes to be strong enough - at least that's what everyone tells me, remove the binding and you have to remount.

This is NOT TRUE. You can re-use old holes the same holes, so long as they are not stripped out. You need to be sure to use the proper glue to seal the hole from moisture getting in, epoxy isn't required unless the hole is stripped, then take it to a reputable shop and get some proper advice.

I have done this hundreds if not thousands of times over my many years working on skis, including my own, friends and probably in the thousands on customers skis.

Just ordered the Tyrolia AAAmbitions from backcountry.com
$530 bux CAD all in. Having them delivered to friend in Seattle.

Now just have to find someone on the Northshore to Mount them…….

They are $390 at Vancouver Ski Services, is the price you quoted wrong?

Ahh I am dissapoint.

Not for who is there, I am sure they are all awesome, but for who is not.

It's for the best though.

That's what I thought exactly, the only reason I opened the thread was to see his name. I think he would get less than 4% he got elsewhere anyways, but it would have been fun.

Hey, I'm not saying the cycling boots are perfect, as stated above, your foot will get wet from the top down, coming through the sock.

What I am saying is, they are the best solution I have found for a problem that cant be solved. Although a lot of the time my foot ends up wet inside the boot, they are warm and windproof, so I can still do long rides in crap weather. Best money I spent on kit, I get more use out of them than anything else I own, even though I don't use them in the summer.

These are must-haves for Vancouver winter riding. They're awesome, not commutery at all. With the right socks you can go out in a downpour and come home with relatively comfy feet. I had no idea how much I suffered from wet feet until it stopped.

Agreed!
Though they don't have to be specifically the Shimano shoes, Northwave, Lake and a few others make good winter riding boots, I have a pair of Cronos (Italian company), they are the cats ass for wet weather riding.

It is worth the investment ($250+), if you truly want to ride year round.

No Trespassing signs on CMHC lands and trails

I saw Hazen on Bridle Path this morning. He seemed a little confused (he had his phone out and was looking puzzled at something) but not angry at all.

That's "Uncle Hazen" to you sir!

The butt hurt were the emails sent to CMHC and senior levels of government confirming that MrBond on this site, who endorsed swastikas drawn over the location of people's homes, is Councillor Matthew Bond. Those emails resulted in Bond being dropped from the email distribution list of Terry Beech, Jane Thornthwaite and CMHC.

Councillor Matthew Bond is now_ persona-non-grata _with senior levels of government.

The phrase trail Nazi and NSMBA maps with swastikas drawn over people's homes, particularly the same person's home that some of you have created an entire thread for the purpose of harassing her did not sit well in Ottawa.

There is a song. It goes…Na Na Na…Na..Na..Na.Na heyyyyy Goodbye

Adios Senior Bond, the next ex-councilor of the District of North Vancouver :-)

Srooge McDuck

Oh, there it is, you have finally nailed it Mr Colbert! YOU HAVE WON ME OVER!

I have switched my opinion, and now I will vote for you in the next election instead of Mr Bond, or any other candidate.

I guess the ends did justify the means, all your insightful and thought provoking comments have turned the tides.

I'm sure all the other readers and posters have come to the same conclusion as me.

WE HAVE FOUND OUR NEW CHAMPION, AND HIS NAME IS MR COLBERT.
