drinking for 11 years (and counting)
let's see… I'm about 170-180 lbs. I run a stiff spring with the SPV at about 60 psi [HTML_REMOVED] the progressiveness cranked about halfway. I rarely bottom [HTML_REMOVED] it handles most stuff very well. I think that last time I was at Whistler I might have run a little less air, but you can fiddle with that at the bottom of the lift. I recall liking it a little softer.
Hope that helps [HTML_REMOVED] have fun with it.
Hmmmm…I'm 180 with no gear and I have the 325 lb. spring. I also have a 425 lb. spring. I was curious as to whether I should switch. I do not go huge. 6 feet tops (at the moment) :-], but I am also about as smooth as a gravel road.
Do you bottom a lot? Or are you just curious? It sounds like your weight [HTML_REMOVED] riding are similar to mine, so if you do the switch, let me know how it turns out. I've been thinking about getting a slightly stiffer spring. Like I said in my earlier post, I almost never bottom. But sometimes it feels like I go through too much travel on smaller jumps/drops. Just a bit too "squishy".
On a somewhat related note, thanks to whoever put in the new ladder on CC, covering up the eroded, rooty drop. It flows beautifully into the last ladder in that section now.
Agreed. I was thinking the same thing when I rode it yesterday.
OK I have 2 forks here in my home. I have the 2005 Pike Team and 2005 Sherman Flick +. I ride DJ, Urban and light trail woth the highest drop of 5ft. I am not a smooth rider also. I was thinking of getting my 6in flick and reduce the travel to 3 1/2in and would be like a Sherman Jumper. Or just keep the Pike and reduce the travel when i want to. I like the features and adjustability of the Pike, but I am worried about strength. What would you do???
I'm sorry, what did you say? I can't stop staring at your tits…
now Im def going to have to ride my HT and just run some sections in the DH just to try and get in by 5 pm….
yes. Ride your HeiHei. It's gonna be hot. I'm thinking of dusting off the full rigid Blizzard. I wonder how those Syncros forks will hold up…
That's a good article. Thanks for posting it. My love/hate relationship with the law continues…
