Happy recovery present to me...

It rides so nice… I can't wait to get it to Whistler!!! One of my friends rode it for a little bit of the trail and called it "velvet". Cool parts too - I'll need a big crying towel if I ever take out that XO derailleur!!!

Fresh tracks today

A beautiful snow ride today. Vic and I made the big push up to be rewarded with fresh powder all the way down.

Happy recovery present to me...

So, I'm finally back on the bike after a nasty wrist break/dislocation. I've been wanting a bigger travel bike for a while now so I couldn't resist when I found a small 05… (one of the few "big" bikes I can stand over… well, kind of…)

Out for the first ride…

Hayes 9 question

hayes is pretty good for small parts. i believe you have to buy more then just the c-clip put the kit cost about 15-25 bucks. i believe the kit has the c-clip,washer and threaded rod that goes into the lever. any LBS should be able to help you out.

04/05 Giant DH shock pivot bolts- problems- help...

I've heard that some or all of the shock mount and pivot bolts can loosen (very easily and regularly). Can anyone tell me exactly which ones are a problem so I can take them out and loc-tight them? Thanks…

Saint Cranks on a Demo 9 or just get 06 Truvativ's?

i'm running saint cranks with the stock chainguide(blackspire?) on my 04 demo9 with no issues….

and no mods other then the swingarm pivot bolt nut needed to be filed abit, which was a 30 second fix

im stoked on this picture

Wicked job capturing a nice whip. I think what people are getting at with the composition problems is this… because of the movement of the rider your eye wants to follow where the rider would go- even a bit more framed to the left would be better. For me, its too much dirt and trees on the right that arent' the line he's riding (it seems) and my eye wants to go left and it feels like the picture got cut off. All that being said, please take it as constructive criticism and an opinion. I'm not saying that my photos are better or worse.

demo8 and 66 :???:

Here's a couple pics of Vic on his new machine…

I wish I could have caught a picture of him doing the big GLC drop at Whistler - his newest thing since getting the demo. Pretty impressive for 66 years old… and the coolest thing is his 8-year-old-boy enthusiasm!! Fun guy to ride with…

minions 2.5 ST's are on sale at overtime for $55….pretty decent price, considering some shops sell for $80/90 or more

YOUR Input needed

is putting out a guide book really a good idea? wouldn't that be the same as posting directions over the internet? (not an accepted practice!)

Is she the one who says, "you don't often get to see women who ride very well" in the video? That comment wasn't thought through before hand. There's a lot of women out there who ride well, but not all of them do that kind of riding.

Very true. And there's also women who enjoy the freeride stunts (skinnies, gaps, drops and wallrides) that she doesn't know about (me for one).

Red Bull BMX Jumps open as Pro Line

I just have to say, good job to Whistler for opening these pro lines. Not that I'll be hitting up the BMX jumps anytime soon but its awesome to see that Whistler is providing options for all riders, including the very good ones.
