Super surgery vibes headed your way!!!
Well, we just booked 2 flights to Costa Rica with our Royal Avion card; $2500 value; for money spent on our Visa that we would have spent regardless. Not to mention, we had enough points for both our business class flights to Italy last year and will have enough for some flights later next year. Seems like a win to me. Flights are a way better redemption value than goods/hotels etc.

I had a fracture/dislocation of the wrist years ago; 3 pins to put most of it back together; they left a couple bone chips floating. It can be disheartening how weak the hand/arm is when the cast comes off; keep up with whatever finger exercises physio says you can do while casted. But by 12 weeks post surgery, I was back on the bike, wearing a wrist brace. I wasn't riding with confidence and back to myself until til almost 5 months post surgery. Hang in there! It does get better!
I totally agree that one needs to be acutely aware of the temperature inside a vehicle when leaving one's pet inside.
We also have our dog with us a lot of the time and do leave him inside the vehicle (in shaded spots, for short periods of time, windows down etc and if it's too hot, he is left at home.) I really worry that someone will over-react at some point at seeing our dog in the vehicle.
People really need to use common sense to decide if a dog is truly in distress or if things are actually ok. I
Yes, the survey was still ongoing but TORCA had attended the Stakeholders' meeting earlier in the month. As far as I'm concerned nothing is for sure until a plan is finalized and in black and white. Discussions do seem favourable, though.
Glad to hear you are still hearing positive news!
