Re: NSMB 4.0

I don't like the new format at all. As a non-techy person, ease of use is important to me and this setup isn't intuitive. Also, way too much white background. Generally, I just don't like the layout for viewing or finding posts.

As someone else said earlier, it has curbed my visits to this forum. Kinda sad to see the numbers dropping off, although they were dropping even before the change. This certainly isn't the same place that I signed onto in 2003.

We cleared the trees off Dawg, Hustler, Fluid. Frank's still had trees down on it a few weeks ago. And yes, by the lower trails, I mean Fluid, Flow, Braap, Ray Ray's, Green Bastard, Dawg [HTML_REMOVED] Hustler. They are draining well now and should be fun to ride. The road is a mess trying to get any higher on the mountain.

Only the lowest trails below Harper Rd are rideable.

it's not the same thing at all. all the lien does is restrict the title of the home from changing hands which guarantees that the loan will be paid before the title can change hands via sale or through probate of the estate. it has absolutely nothing to do with the government owning a portion of one's home.

Wow, you've totally missed the point.

We aren't talking about literal terms here. We are talking about people's feelings of having government institutions or banks having entitlement to their home. With some people, the thought of it, no matter the monetary value, is the issue. Is it right or wrong? It doesn't matter. And good luck "explaining it" and changing people's opinions.

BTW, have you never heard someone say, "the bank owns more of my home than I do"? Do you tell them that they are using the incorrect terminology?

^^ I'm sure if you're really concerned about the snow removal budget, you could donate your home owners' grant to the city.

I don't think people are going to be financially ruined by a $570 increase but it's just a bummer when that means $570 of what used to be play money, or investment money or whatever, is now going to taxes instead.

There's no good way… being there to make the decision or not being there and it being made for you. Losing our last dog was the toughest emotional period I've been through. An empty feeling house sucks. Best wishes to you.

Exciting news for trails on Eagle Mountain. (Tri Cities)

Enjoyed the one time I've been on Eagle. Would I go back? Probably not in it's current form, but with a little work - most certainly.

I won't be involved in any trail work, but is there a link where I can at least make a financial contribution?

Any donations can be made at: http://www.torca.ca/membership/donate/

Thank you for this consideration!

Me too…actually get recognized for my contributions rather than time served

One can be in a union and still have a defined contribution plan.

Ride Post Canyon. You can't go wrong with the trails there. Take a look at the recently held enduro course. It covers a lot of the good trails.
