u2 hype!

Got 4 tickets. Taking my kids. My daughter is the same age I was when I saw the show in 87. It would be amazing if they played the set list from that night with a few additions. It's going to be a great show!

If that walk down pit lane by Massa doesn't choke you up, you're dead inside.

rossland/trail/castlegar - the kootenays - for living

We were in that rut in 2005, then made a decision one day to gtfo of North Van and move to the Kamloops. Best move ever. Beautiful landscapes, easily accessible back country, zero crowds, countless lakes 15 minutes from the city in either direction, and so on. Every time I go back to NV, I am reminded of why we left.

Did the same in 2007. Best thing we ever did. Hard to leave after 34 years and with kids, but looking back, ZERO regrets.

Photo plaques on Seymour

Rode it on Monday while down from Kamloops for a couple of days. Glad I got to see the pictures before they were removed.

Ten years ago, maybe even less, and Alonso is dead. Brutal crash.

As for it determining the race, no way. Ferrari not chaning tires determined the outcome. Even if they didn't know how the tires would react, you are ahead of Mercedes, put on the same tires and let the chips fall where they may. Either you all have to pit or no one does. Bad decision making lost the race.

One of the biggest crashes that I have seen in F1 for sure. I think the halo might have only been a problem if there had been a fire…

Too bad that crash ultimately determined the finish order of the race. could have been an interesting finish if Vettel hadn't cocked up near the end…

Qualifying was an utter mess! No one running with 2 minutes to go?

We saw Honeymoon Suite up here in Kamloops late last Fall. It was freaking amazing. The guitarist actually looked like he hadn't aged a day. The singer was spot on too. Great show.

Neil Young November 11th. Pumped!

Sun at WhiteCap Alpine!

I've known Lars and Ron for over 25 years. Great people and an amazing spot. Looks like they showed you an amazing time. Can't wait to get up there myself.

Kamloops (2012)

Rio will still be covered in snow at the top. The last third was dry last week, but we've had snow since then.

Jamison faces North, so likely still snow there. The Ranch will be fine. Same with Batch.

My Wife rules!

So I turned the big 40 on Friday. To celebrate, my wife threw a big surprise party last night. There were tons of friends and family around. We drank a lot. Laughed. Had a great time. That alone was awesome and I'm glad she did it.

Then she brought out this:

That sealed the deal on a great birthday, and earned her some serious wife of the year votes.

My wife RULES!
