The guy started the company about 15 years ago.

He produces his own forks now.

I bought my first cartridge for my lyrik back in 2009 ; still working great !

In 2010, I moved to the US, and tried an Avy ; It was better than stock, of course, but I preferred the livelier feel of the CRConception.

Just when I moved to BC, I had problems with my BOS deville : as you all know, BOS customer service is just non existant. Same goes for customer respect ...

So I found a cheap durolux on sale (based on your review and teardown), contacted Richard (the "R" in CRConception) and few month after I decide to go for his option.

It has low speed rebound and compression external adjust and internal hi-speed compression and rebound, via shim stack or some other witchcraft.

Coil spring is "sur mesure".

It works fantastically ! I am not disappointed.

I'm riding a Durolux upgraded with an open bath cartridge and a coil spring, both suited to my weight, needs, ...

Chassis is very stiff for my 85kg and custom cartridge and spring correct everything I had to complain about with stock damping and spring.

I see me as spoiled kid with expensive toys and always asking for something more this or that ...

This winter, the most non-spectacular ski crash ever took me twice to ER.

They don’t need to see me again now .

Spending a lot more time in front of my computer to work from home drives me crazy. 

So jogging or riding on easy trail is the best moment of my day.

I was very interested in those Hayes brakes since they have been released, but I don't know anybody owning them.

I know Hayes can make great products ; I'm still using 2003 HFX-Mag on my summer bike ...

As for my maguras, I might indeed just have been unlucky ...

First intention on "shigura" was to keep the power of their caliper while getting a "stronger" lever assembly ; it might not be the best -overall- option, but it appeared to be the cheapest as SLX levers are pretty cheap. But, since then, I didn't break any more lever.

I agree also on the HC lever : definitely love it !

Is there a reason why they do not come as stock ? Everybody seems to prefer them over their 2-fingers levers.

I'm very interested in your cura-4 review as well. Please, include some comparison with maguras, Hayes, ...

I am very interested in a comparison with MT5/7.

Over the last two years, I broke two magura MT levers, and I think "carbotexture" is the reason ...

But I love the power they deliver.

If another damage happens, I'm hesitating between the "shigura" option or switch to complete different system.

Orion is essentially the replacement for the meridian. Very similar. At the time I had mine they were made from the same material (polartec neoshell). Mine was orange, maybe that made it less durable. 

That said, they don't use neoshell anymore, they use Toray entrant which is a Japanese material. 

Despite the bitter taste they left in my mouth I do still feel tempted to check out the sans, looks very nice. But it's over 700 bucks and only comes in black.

At some point, the meridian and Orion we’re both available. I’m not sure Orianne is a replacement for meridian.

Meridian had a slimmer fit, and different pockets, very well placed ( IMO). It was very minimalist. Hood is perfect, for  y head, at least ...very mountain  bike oriented, while Orion was more everyday jacket.

I have a gray one and orange one. The orange is perfect for on the road commute.

If you’re into investing to get a superior product, 7mesh looks great ! And regularly on sale as well ...

When it does seize, using PB Blaster will work great and massively reduce the risk of collateral damage swinging a sledge hammer at your bike.

I didn't know that product ; I thought you said something related to PinkBike ; lol !

I had a mission workshop orion and it sucked. Didn't breathe well and the material pilled really badly under where my pack goes.  Believe it or not I actually left it somewhere and when I realized it I just said good riddance. That jacket literally pissed me off. A 20 dollar Walmart special would have been better.

Oh, that's weird. Everything I had from acre is really top quality.

My jacket is the meridian and is bike specific. It might make a difference compared to the Orion. It uses polartec membrane, supposed to breathe better than gore Tex. From my experience, it works.

Material is very light but resisted several crashes and doesn't pile under backpack.

I got last year a meridian jacket from acre supply/mission workshop.

It is very light, very packable and resilient as well.

It is 100% waterproof and breathes very well. All detail have been though.

It is very expensive, but I think it offers something more than the other jacket I had before. I got lucky to get it at 50% off, which is rare.

Also it doesn’t look too sporty when you wear it with jeans to go to work.

The guy in that interview said he'd rather use heavier tires, more sealant and higher pressure - I can't imagine a worse answer, but that's my preference.

Yeah, I didn't like his answer too ; but being several times DH world champion, he must pretty much know what is talking about ...

Also, his wheels are definitely spinning faster than mine ; he might get different feelings.

What feels good for us might not be the best option for this level of riding.

Thank you guys ; I knew I would have to pay for my lack of care for these specific points.

Theses days I'm going to everything that needs service on my bike.

I wanted to replace them, but all the frame bearings were in great condition. I just popped the seal and add some bearing grease as Syncro just recommended.

I did the same on my i9 torch hubs. Unbelievable how clean they were after almost 5 years of use.

The only two last things that need attention are the main pivot and the BB.

Hopefully, I'll make it !

But, if anybody knows the secret trick to remove it effortlessly, please, share !

I'm using CC in a set of Hutchinson TORO tires ; I like the lateral support they provide.

I was using before a set of MagicMary with super gravity casing and I was'nt complaining about the lack of lateral support.

I will swap to MagicMary again, and will try them without CC first.

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of replacing all the bearings on my first generation warden frame.

I have all the necessary tools : bearing press, adapters, ...

I just can't remove the axle located close to the BB.

Is there any specific technique ? or shall I just hammer it out with a rubber mallet ?
