Fromme 2016 Conditions

I rode up OB last night. Just a good handsaw will fix up the mess but a CS would be quicker. John Deer was good.

Is it ever worth it? Bike commuting in icy weather...

I see people commuting on fat bikes in the middle of the summer. I don't get it.

I see a guy commute on a unicycle on a regular basis.

Close one yesterday

super easy to get lost when it's cloudy and not familiar with the zone. Having a normal compass might be a good idea when venturing out.

Why has Pink Starfish been decommissioned?

I am disturbed by the lack of transparency in the decision process. And no, I do not consider a 9-year old report sufficient basis for the decision. So much has changed since then, especially with trail building knowledge.

That's true when it comes to trails on the ground. I'm thinking that the land manager wasn't very happy with all the gathering of material that was used for the construction of the bridges.

Dreaming of an aggressive 29er for the North Shore and PNW

Is carbon up front and aluminum in the rear the way to go? That would be a lot easier on the wallet…

That's I'm doing… no issues with carbon up front for a couple of years now. Look at Stans Flow MK3 or DT Swiss 471 for rear rim.

I would shy away from carbon hoops in the rear. I went through 3 of them. The aluminum options are so good right now. Even if you get warrantee, it's going to cost of you tonnes to rebuild the wheel.

Canucks 16/17

I have been saying that for years… Sedins go to sleep in post season but on the upside for the sisters, there will be no post season.

it shouldn't be this hard...

I got mine at the UHaul place across CND Tire in NV. Been on the rack for 8 years and comes off with no problem.

Who is Hillary Clinton?

This. A nutjob like Trump in the White House, a Republican controlled house and senate, and soon to be another right winger on the Supreme Court. Scary time to be an American if you aren't a straight white Christian.

straight white male
