this is a great day! in that propagandhi released an album. the lyrics are great, like Letters To A Young Anus. https://propagandhi.com/lyrics/album/victory-lap
the music is even better
up the valley they have a progressive riding club (they just put in a wheelchair-capable trail in new denver). in fact i just found your place. no land though
as an aside pertaining to rossland, i would make sure you want to live in a ski town. not everyone does. a lot like to live down below and elsewhere, where regular people live (for lack of a better word). a lot move there for some mountain bliss or whatever and live in this little bubble paradise and immediately snub their noses at other towns (trail, castlegar). i noticed fernie people did this too to folks in sparwood. maybe read the local papers first, to get a sense of the people, area, etc.

as for as rossland, i'm not sure you'll be getting land there for cheapish. there are lots of places near me that are affordable dumps with land. pass creek, slocan valley, blewett, etc. closer to rossland, you can look at fruitvale and montrose which are more rural.
Being from the city cheapish is relative and I should have been more clear in that land could simply be a standard lot for a house to sit on. I'm not necessarily looking for an acre or more.
whatever you do, when you buy a place mention how cheap it was and you don't have to work anymore...locals love that...haha
but seriously, around here at least, a lot of folks who grew up here abhor this new gentrification happening in their hoods, who used to blame albertans but now look to vancouverites as well...i dunno...maybe tread lightly maybe wherever you may be
but seriously seriously, the west koots is where it's at
yeah shopping is expensive and limited in the sticks. we lived in burnaby for the last two years and got used to food selection, especially asian stuff. we are back in the sticks (crescent valley between nelson and castlegar) and we spend a ton on food. we have land here, so we'll see how green our thumbs will be.
