Interesting point. I honestly didn't think about even looking at "women specific" items. These are just things that I would like under my tree and I wouldn't buy for myself. I think any girl or guy for that matter would be stoked on this stuff but the article was written with the intention of helping anyone buy for a woman so I hope it helps!
