I can't believe I'm reading any negative comments about the brand, honestly. I have a pair of their Destroyer shorts I bought at the sample sale last year and they kick the shit out of my Sombrio and TLD shorts as far as quality is concerned. Complaining about the price? Whoever complains about the price is out of their damn minds. I actually saw a pair of TLD/Adidas pants for sale for over $300 and they aren't even made here! Plus they're made of paper! How is that acceptable is beyond me. Whatever your thoughts are on the brands marketing is your opinion but I feel like we should all embrace these local brands and support them as best we can.
After having my 9point8 with the sideload rails I could never go back to this style. Post looks great otherwise.
No. Dustin mills all of the stems in house in Kamloops on a Haas VM3 and makes all of the bars/rims in house as well. I know this because I've seen it with my own eyes and openly posts footage of said cnc machine on the WeAreOne Instagram page.
Oh awesome! I'll be contacting you soon. Cheers
I looooove my Storia! Now if EXT could get a service center in the gvrd that would be great...
Procore is a heavier system for sure but I wonder how one of those 80g Tubolito tubes would work with it? Knock off 100g per wheel I would think?
Yeah the US site says October but that cant be right. Maybe is though who knows with this industry.
Any idea when the bikes/frame will be available?
When you hit something and the rim deflects, the lower spokes lose tension yes. What does the shape of the rim do though? It ovalizes, the spokes at 9 and 3 o'clock actually see an increase in tension, I would guess more so than the spokes at 12 o'clock. These rims sound like they're uber compliant though so maybe there's a very little increase in ovalizing?
I'm running dual CC. WR1 Agents with Minion WT tires. If I had to choose between running only one it would be on the front. The reason being even with CC on the back, if I run lower pressures the tire still squirms in hard corners. It doesn't burp thanks to CC but it does squirm so I run normal pressures anyway. The lower psi in the front feels amazing in my hands though and it's definatly more about the ride quality instead of rim protection.
The Revive is the WAO answer to the cx/xc market
Some guy rpped by me on an Ebike today as we were climbing up the road. All I could think about was how shitty of a time he must have trying to ride that 60 pound bike down the trails. I don't see the benefit of them but if people are happy to lug them around then so be it.
I don't know about that anymore tbh. Wheel standards do seem to be the default complaint but I think things have settled down for a few years. Lots of new carbon bikes have 148 spacing still.
Yup lots of awesome things coming down the pipe from WAO. The show this year was much better than the last few years, just seemed to have more energy or something.
