ContourHD

I just finished up my research into which camera system would be best for me. I plan to shoot MTB, Skiing, and some scooter action. I ended up getting the Contour 1080P GPS and am loving it so far.

The image quality is amazing, and the GPS really ads a new twist. Beside the video footage you can have a google map that shows your location on the trail as well as your current speed and elevation change. Have you ever wondered how fast someone was going to clear a jump in the past? With this you will know.

It is light, small, and does not look as goofy as the GoPro.

Why can't some tax dollars go to those who pay taxes?

I feel that the news channels should just stop putting these tossers on the news every night.

I also wonder why these groups feel that all tax dollars spent should be directed to only the "needy". Why should there be concern when tax dollars are going to be spent on things that may benefit those who pay taxes? It is the taxpayers money, not the non-taxpayers, so they can come knock on my door and ask for a hand-out.

I am not against social programs, and strongly feel that we do need to ensure the health and welfare of all, but we can't ignore the fact that we also need to spend the things that make this city/country a great one for all, not just focus on the "needy"

ARGHHH… I just get so worked up when I think about these BS protesters..

Whistler Bike Park.. - My final* Video!

Great vid. I noticed that you are using the same DV camera that I have (canon ZR90?) . I had been looking for a helmet cam that would work with this camera, but so far I ad no luck. Which helmet cam did you use?

Sentencing

I highly recommend the scum bag gets a 12 week sentence to Afghanistan. Job, driving the fuel truck down the IED highway.

Now if you would only run for a position on the supreme court! I think Canadians would be ready for some justice like this!

I think that another fair sentence for him would be to have him sky dive in to Iraq using an American Flag chute, and jumpsuit. This would give him the option of:

a) not opening the chute and doing us all a favor
b) pulling the cored and landing for what I hope would be some pure torture.

I just don't understand the mindset of these "kids". What can someone really do to you that would justify shooting them? When I was younger I was in a few fights. I got my ass kicked, and kicked some asses, but that was always the end of it. I don't even think the thought of killing someone crossed my mind.

Mega Vs. Mondo Pixel

I recently bought the 30D and went with the 17-85mm IS lens kit. I have been very happy with this setup, other then I have now dropped another $2000+ in other lenses and gear.

from what I found out when I was looking at the Nikon and the Canon was that it really comes down to pref for the overall feel of the body, and which menu system you like better. Either way you should be happy!

Nuts Pure Nuts

This guy does things that I only thought could be done on Tony Hawk (xbox). Some of that stuff just does not make sense.

New GM bike rack - looks like it is from a spy movie

GM has just announced a new bike rack that will come on new SUVs. This thing looks wild. Push a button and the rack slides out from the rear bumper.

bashing this guy?

Should the bashing of riders that are "less skilled" than you not be reserved for pinkbike?

another scam

@freakonaleash

The link for the scam the scammers with carvings is http://forum.419eater.com/john_boko.htm

This story had me in stitches when I first read it. In fact it got me responding to scammers and spammers via a toss away email address.

I agree about Baiting this guy. Just waste as much of his time as possible. Ask for all sorts of strange things from him. I did this to a guy who was looking for help getting "millions of dollars in gold" of out Africa and had a blast with him.

A new breed : freetards

@Wayne Parsons

That is great! We were all slow(er) at one time and it does no good for the sleevless a-line "freetards" to be hard timing the newer riders. It is great that this guy got a taste of his own medicine!

I wonder how he felt to not be the fastest guy on a-line? I hope on his next run he had a better attitue towards the slower riders.

A few NBR - taken with old cam

Here are a few pictures that i was pretty pleased with the way the worked out. I am far from good, and was using a point and shoot 3.2MP but the composition worked out I think:

Runners downtown:

Old spool of wire:

Lamp Post Downtown (kinda looks like space needle);

Neat angle pic of DT building:

anyone getting hits on the buy&sell?

I have sold a few things that I had posted here, on PB, and craigslist. I seemed to get the most views and emails from PB but they were all crap. People wanting to trade (when the post said NO TRADES) or it was kids that wanted to either low ball me or try to do payment plans. Before my stinky sold I had over 2000 views on my ad - tirekickers

Craigslist had good results. It seems that people on craigs list go on there looking to buy something, where on nsmb and pb many people are just looking to see what is out there, if there is a great deal then snap it up.

I found that the questions I had regarding my ad on nsmb.com were all legit. They all came from buyers that a) had funds b) were serious about a purchase.

I think that if one thing was to be changed on the new system here it should be that in order to post a ad you must register. I forgot to log in when I placed my last b/s ad here and was not able to modify it.

NSMB Buy and Sell <<< OLD OR NEW <<< POLL >>>

can't then both be run at the same time? all the listings are held in a database, so it would/should be simple to modify the old page to read from the DB for the new buy/sell. I liked the old one as i would read it on my blackberry and did not have to wait for tables and images to load.
