FWIW, this moved me towards purchasing stuff from them. A lot (staggering amounts of well heeled rednecks) of people will think similarly, but not many will go voice it on a Canadian biking forum.

Just joined the forum today? So these gun manufacturing NRA supporting dicks have paid u to post here? We mostly as a group think "FWIW" that the NRA can fucking rot in hell. So go piss off.

Its cute u r here all of a sudden trying to tell us different but the damage is just getting going...

So, anyone want to predict at what's going to come of all this?

At the very least a huge public shaming. Seems that The NRA has bribed their way to where they are now. So if the populace can't defeat them thru gov't channels. Social media and boycott is a great way to fight back.

I'm sure there are some great people that are going to suffer in these bike related companies that are being singled out. I really don't feel sorry for them, they knew selling out to these assholes this backlash would be coming eventually.

Lets hope this really gets traction. I wonder if the top pros will be dropping their sponsorship or hope this just goes away.

Yeah we were outplayed, the penalty against the USA at the end was a bit of a dive so it all evens out.
Congrats the the States, they played hard and wanted it more.

Good post.

Won't be buying, if their profits go towards the gun lobby, no thanks.

It's just mind blowing the USA and their guns. It's so insane from so many angles, it's sureal.

Women's big air qualies were pretty impressed, double cork 10, double cork 9, bunch of dub underflips, switch back 9 etc. And the ladies are landing pretty deep, close to where the dudes are. On the men's side, McMorris has a decent chance especially with Markus Kleveland not making it through, that dude can throw legit looking quads.

How smooth is the landing?

Skier cross was insane. I really thought Drury was the fastest in the prelim rounds, it's a shame he didn't medal.
Del Bosco came up short but went out like a rock star. That was an insane crash, hope he heals up OK.
Only the Canadian team would have Surrey dinner jackets as a uni.... nice touch.

That was some of the best shit the Olympics has offered up IMO. The pipe events have been good but I can't stand the commentators saying amplitude all the time, it's painful. Big air should be good, maybe they will get big amplitude.....

"Fuck, after this she'll get on a reality show, and a book deal. Everybody keep an eye out for the book "Below the coping"."

My favourite comment on this so far.

Thats pretty good.

I thought the buying your way into the winter Olympics was over after these two dickheads.

"She didn't even show up for the 10K women's classic on Feb. 13, claiming injury. (She was the only one of the race's 76 entrants who didn't start.) A day later, in the 15K men's classic, di Silvestri, 47, made it out of the starting gate but gave up just a few hundred meters later, claiming illness. He was reportedly the only starter who failed to make even the first checkpoint. "

They both realized they were going to be the laughing stock so they both quit.

This was a good laugh, but why bother? Olympic tourism the new thing?

Canada is killing it in the medals. No one was even close to Sharpe in the half pipe today. Surprisingly, the curlers aren't doing too well.

As much as 2 gold medals in curling would be great, kind of nice to see us not walk away with it this time round. Great show by all the Canadian athletes, they have done their nation proud.

Womens gold medal hockey game should be good.

Fuck ya! It's the old west again! Can see the headline now.... Mentally disturbed teacher having a bad day shoots student in face. All because the student couldn't answer the question, what is the Capital of Idaho.

That place is really too far gone now...

Re: 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics thread.

I see what you are saying but I guess it's the lack of vibe that is so obvious. When you bid for an Olympics and can't even fill the seats that's pretty lame. what's the point? To showcase the shitty venues? To show that Peyongchang is a half ass winter resort?
Would have been way better if the German or French bids got the games. At least people there would give a shit about the events.

Re: 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics thread.

Watched the men's Super G last night.  A terrible course, what a joke. I guess when that's all you have to work, a shit ski hill.

Also how about that crowd? Oh wait there wasn't one, am I the only one who has noticed all the empty seats at the events?  Probably the lamest Winter Olympics ever..... 51 million people in S. Korea and they can't fill the venues up? They should stick to video gaming.
