The uphill climbs and chairlifts are supposed to be suffered in stoic silence. As if you want to make friends and chit-chat on the downhill, either. You want to make smalltalk and "feel a connection"? Go to a bar.

You don't have to win it all or be the best athlete to be sponsored (but it certainly doesn't hurt). There are many athletes who stand out for various reasons, for example overcoming adversity, displaying uncommon generosity/unselfishness, showing exceptional leadership, haveing other remarkable skills/pastimes - or just have a hot bod or face. Advertising wants to be noticed … people who are outside the norm make for good advertising, whether they are known for winning or something else. Whatever ends up catching the public's attention or imagination will sell product.

I live in Deep Cove. On sunny days, there is no parking on our street or anywhere else in the neighbourhood. Concert in the Cove nights? Crowds of people. Everywhere. Deep Cove Daze - groups of people, many of them intoxicated and partying. Up and down our street. Same with Carol Ships, Penguin Plunge, KneeKnacker. Rowing Regattas, Sea2Summit Adventure Race. To name but a few. Its as much a part of the local scenery as Indian Arm Marine Park. How do you think the residents of Ambleside, and Dundarave or Lower Lonsdale feel? What makes the residents of Mount Fromme so special?

So you're trying to determine the viability of a store that rents auto maintenance tools?

Yes ... but more of a shared rental pool/network for people who need auto tools that they don't own.

I did it too. But, what the hell is this question supposed to mean:

Automobile tune ups and repairs are quite costly. Did you know that in Canada, service locations typically bill significantly more for labour than for actual auto parts?

Apples and oranges, you can't compare labour and parts costs. Or, do you mean that for a typical "tune up", labour makes up more of the bill than parts do? You should say that.

Also - since the advent of electronic ignition and fuel injection and computer controlled everything, the notion of a "tune up" is pretty much dead I think.

An analysis done of Canada's auto service industry says that total receipts for labour exceeds those for parts. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it just an observation that receipts for labour on car repairs significantly exceeds those for auto components.

Doing a project for school about the auto aftermarket and opportunities in the area of Do-It-Yourself (DIY) auto parts, servicing and maintenance in Canada. The DIY auto aftermarket for parts and accessories is a $6 billion business in Canada according to investment firm Raymond James.
