Road bike wipe out

I wiped out on my road bike. I was on my way back home from MEC when hit a pot hole in the road I could not see do to the bright sun and the shadow casted by a parked van. Ate shit right over the handle bars, I cant believe the carbon fork on no roadie did not snap.
