Hi, could anyone comment on the best trails to ride right now, or if any should be avoided until they dry out, etc? All comments appreciated. Tnx

Sproatt Creek on the west side had a major debris flow in the fall and it took out bridges on the Flank right at the bottom of LOTS/start of Mystic, it's a big old raging chasm right now and attempting to cross it is not recommended. Ditto the bottom of Industrial Disease/Pura Vida, bridge is gone and replaced with a big deep gap, recommend descending Industrial Waste and crossing there if you must, but that bridge was also displaced and you need to be careful crossing there, but it's a lot more reasonable. Dark Crystal is closed all spring for bear habitat, Micro Climate is closed right now as well for spring melt/seepage, but we do have a WORCA/WB trail night planned for it this coming Tuesday. Where there isn't snow, it's already very dry.

Which zones are dry and mud/snow free? What are the best routes to ride at this time of year?

I rode it 2 weeks ago.... no snow and the conditions were mint!  No idea why it's closed.

it was closed because of spring seepage and trail work that was taking place with the builder and WB. Please respect ALL CLOSURES.

there was zero trail seepage.  Trail was bone dry (no water)and lots of locals riding it.  Riding the trail in the dusty summer would cause way more damage.  The only building was some dirt work at the bottom in which the builder(s) could rope off as it wasn't that much.  I'm usually good about not riding closed/wet trails but this doesn't make any sense.

respectfully, WB had it closed, it doesn't matter what you think, they and the builder hadn't opened it yet.

That aint for you to decide bud. If your name is isnt Paulo or Dave or your not on the board of directors for Worca or WB than you don't get a say in that at all.

I agree. It's wise to obey all trail closures. It's in the best interest of all concerned.

How is "River runs" looking these days?

It was pretty flooded in May. Hopefully it's dried up, and chock full of mosquitoes now, just like we're used to   :D
