Brilliant day today.. pretty much DTL from open to close. Running slow in spots and almost managed to kill myself on the lower Canadian Open double because I convinced myself I didn't need to pedal.

The berm after the Freight Train drop (after the Dusty's/BC trail exit) has been completely redone and it's a beauty. It's no longer a shitshow to the little stepup around the corner. New dirt has also been laid down and the two jumps rebuilt to the … big pipe thingy.

Dirt Merchant also had some more holes patched.

So much fun.

Hey Nickel,

What are the chances you and the rest of the trail crew will be in the GLC at some point during the last weekend? I would be glad to buy you guys a jug of beer for all the great work you have done this year.

After the double in the trees on Lower Canadian Open, what's the best way to get to the final booter at the bottom?

When I hit the whoops I usually manage to fuck it up a different way each time. I try and double/triple/manual and I seem to suck at everything.

Watching every fucker who goes through there seemingly melt along like mercury just makes me jelly like hell.

Do you hold it left and double? Right and hip left double then manual?

Maybe I'll just stop and watch. But if someone can just give me the skills to do it I'll buy you a jug.

I should add, I'm actually having difficulty deciding if I should do Dirt Merchant or A-Line right now.

lol.

I have been out injured but if i remember correctly it was double in from the right trying to get left then (attempt to) manuel/ next couple, head left where there are no second set of woops then send the booter.

I had to stop and watch a few go through there, I felt like a 100m accident waiting to happen if I tried to pin it.

Followed some quick boys who seemingly either double or tripled it to manual, or just straight up monster trucked it. I never really got it nailed, it seemed the faster I went it could just hang on and hope. I'm amazed I didn't have a massive crash, but it's the only way I could clear the jump after. I stopped riding it in the end.

Yesterday was one of the best days of the year for me. A great end to our summer here. Packing up and heading home first thing tomorrow :)

Thank God both the gondola and garbanzo chair were going today, other years at the end there was no garbanzo at the end and was a fluster-cluck

Never seen the fitz holding area so clogged. Felt like cwerx.

Garbo was quiet enough however.

It was busy! My daughter and I managed only 4 laps.
