So, anyone been up garbo yet? How is it? I heard there is still snow on the way down from the gondi
a tiny bit. was completely passable last night without getting tires snowy. Imagine it will be mostly gone by the weekend.

Did a couple laps with the boy on Garby yesterday. Una Moss is riding well down to the Chick Pea area… a bit of mud and snow, but nothing to fuss about. Blue Velvet is pre-brake-bump goodness with very few softs spots. Original Sin was in excellent condition. In Deep is burly… looks like it hasn't had a rake in a long while. Still fun, but it doesn't feel like you're in the bike park. Even at the Fatcrobat/In Deep junction, there are no longer any trail signs to demarcate direction. Lower Freight Trail was good. The only noted change was the drop-in prior to the Step-up at the trail junction to Freight Train, Side Track, No Duff, Duffman…. they've modified the hip/fall-away leading down into it.
The lower mountain is already feeling like August. Lower A-Line, Lower CIU, HoD, and Crack Addict all closed. Monkey Hands has already turned to a brake bump fiesta disaster. Still fun.
What ever happened to the No Joke Freight Train modifications that were talked about last year, close to the wall ride tunnel?
Finestone told me 2 years ago that the bike crew was gonna rebuild that trail near Hornet called Old School, but it never happened. It was a short trail with all woodwork [HTML_REMOVED] was fun to hit. Would be cool to have it back, but I guess there are priorities.
Thread killer
ha, no doubt. sometimes it's nice to have a little variety WBP, even if it's not the hipsteriest shiznizz

Still happening. Difficult build slotted in between a bunch of other projects. Not top priority, but I hope we get to work on some of this sooner than later. The freight train mods are basically turning it into a different trail. Continuation of una moss. The singletrack bit has been years of working on it for a few half days here and there. One day.

I remember when this all happened. We even started the rebuild, did a bit of prep work. No one has ever spoken of it again. Would've been a lot of work for a very short piece of trail. Maybe it'll happen one day. I recommend against holding your breath.
Hey Nickel, any chance the new Lower ALine entrance is going to crack this weekend?

Almost certainly not. Big project, big changes. Only around the rock drop.
Is Garbo chair spinning this weekend? Last weekend it was stationary.

I think so.
Hoping for a bit of rain before the weekend, looks like there may be some showers here and there.
Also the new desktop WB site is annoying to navigate.

HaHa … I don't mind the dust, because dust=glorious weather.
So I finally hit the big creek gap on DM last weekend (after years of looking at it). I've done some searching but cannot find a definitive answer on what the actual distance is for both small creek gap and big creek gap. I heard 20-25ft as well as 30-35ft for the big one.
Does anyone know the actual distances?
Cheers!

I don't have definitive measurements of them but small=less than ten feet. Maybe 8. It's tiny.
Big=30 ish. Seem to remember it being slightly under but close. 27 keeps popping into my head.
