Golden Boner is a bit snowy still. Ridable but Hey Bud is 100% clear so that would be the better option.

One of my favorite loops Yummy-Comfortably backwards-Jeff's still has quite a few snow patches in the middle part of CN starting at the golden door.
I'd wait for another warm spell before I'd go back, too much dismounting for my liking.

CN backwards is one of my go to rides but I've always gone down young lust. Is Jeff's a better option?

I usually do Jeff's but did Young Lust this time just to compare.
I prefer Jeff's. There's a few walking climbs past Jeff's and overall found the single track not quite as flowy. Sea2sky out there is less interesting.
If I want more singletrack I throw in the main rocky loop proper by doing golden door twice.

I know I now sound like a noob but I've never heard of Golden Door. Is that the loop that goes out to the shelter?

It was built last year so people could cut out a bunch of comfortably numb, or ride up yummy, and then add most of CN on without having to ride a typical out and back.

Golden door is simply a short bypass that skips the big rocky loop on CN.
It should be on the maps but when going backwards it's on the right as soon as you hit the first open rocky area.

Cheers. I've exited via the golden door a few times when I'm bagged or pressed for time. I had no idea it had a name.

Rode Billy Epic today from the alpine side. Still a bunch of snow and walking on the way up. Once on the trail it's almost 100% clear.
From the start of Billys it looked like 27 switchbacks might be a bit more clear on the way up.

BC's is no go right now, combo of deep patchy snow and a clump of blowdown.

Can you guys recommend some trails/loops that are OK to ride in the wet (from a trail damage perspective and a not destroying yourself falling perspective)? I've never ridden outside the bike park in Whistler before. Gonna be up this weekend and thinking of riding in the rain Saturday for a few hours then skiing up high on Sunday.

Intermediate skill level rider, think 7th Secret/Leopard/Crinkum, Angry Midget, Somewhere Over There, Angry Pirate, No Joke, Duffman type skill level - definitely NOT a double black rider.

Also anyone renting trail bikes yet? Some of our group didn't bring bikes, told them to call Evolution, Comor, Bike Co to see.

Thanks

If you like Somewhere Over There, check out It's Business Time (Duncan's) in Function, there is also Tunnel Vision which is a bit tamer but a fun flowy ride.

Or go up StoneBridge to Flank across to Pura Vida then Baby Snakes, Danimal, A La Mode, 3 Birds, Danimal to Danimal North, which is always a good time and is clear now.

So good.

There's nothing better than an Orangina after cheating death with Digger.

I would say young lust, thrill me kill me or yummy numby would be good options. Maybe its just me but I would put business time at more of a ladies only level.

Cross country connection is renting, I think the best trail suggestions have been made
