Hardest climb in town IMO. I don't think I've ever cleaned it myself, but its nice to take the bike for a walk sometimes. I think WORCA cleaned it up a bit last year or the year before too.

yes kind of, turn left on WMSM and climb, then left on Flank…but the climb up the Flank from the Rainbow Falls side is on the steep side of the spectrum…

Did it. Wizard is super fun, comparable to High Society or Pura Vida. But not good enough that it was worth that long loop back on the Flank. From Stonebridge it makes more sense to ride Rockwork then Korova then go back west on the Flank to ride High Society or Pura Vida. Wizard makes sense if you plan to continue east.

Awesome work on those trails.

Craw… I think your suggestion is bang on. Finish Korova and then back west on Flank. Yer Smrt.

I've done that a couple of times, still a grunt back up the flank, but way less of one…decent 'short' lap before heading the other way on the Flank for sure, good way to extend a ride

What is the trail that starts right near the beginning of cut yer bars? Or branches off slightly after the start to the left….if memory recalls.

WTF, Over?

since you guys have been privy to a few of my trail work photos….if you're in the Cheakamus area, at the bottom of See Colours and Puke there's a new trail that cuts out the old skidder road at the bottom…currently comes out on another old skidder a couple hundred meters from bottom of highline/top of farside, will be connected via trail in the very near future. Trail is called High Side, and I'm super stoked on how it turned out! We used it in the enduro race on saturday and most people finished the SCAP/HighSide stage with huge grins on their faces, which means I accomplished what I set out too! Pretty much an intermediate trail, which just one short rock move at the start to keep you honest.

Nice Flipper. I rode it Saturday after the kids were done racing. I only crashed once. Last summer I did explore that old skidder road below SCAP. Led to a bunch of bushwhacking. It is actually on the map App I have so I thought I would check it out. Yours is a much nicer trail.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

I think the entire network is referred to as Cut Yer Bars. I rode the area lots last year and I do seem to recall signs though, but I can't recall names.

we actually found remnants of that old trail, and will use a decent portion of it on the final connection to highline, I originally thought it was a deer trail, then my buddy pointed out the chainsawed out portion of a log….we're going to tweak a couple of things yet, could use some more moisture and traffic to pack in a bit more!

Thanks for that Flip… will have to give it a go.

Did a nice loop on Canada Day, despite the heat. Dropped the girl early for ski camp at Bcomb base and then rode from there. Unfortunately I took the Banshee Scythe with the 30 tooth front, 36 rear, and 40ish pounds. But what the hell. Make lemonade and all that.

Climbed up under Wizard to Bcomb service road at Base II to Hey Bud area. Nice big fast descent back to the valley, then turned right on Home Run to the single track cut up to Yummy Numby, climbed Yummy, then came down Comfortably Numb. Forgot how much value for your climbing $ that route was.

Then did the Central Scrut, Packard, etc back to Lost Lake Park, then climbed back up the ridge to hit Fountain, Peaches, Gypsy to finish.

A bit much on the Scythe, but nice to get out and spin alone for a couple hours in the morning. Great trail conditions all around.

Great shot, MTB. What trail's that?
