Looked like it worked! Gotta try it in that direction!

Have a meeting at 1:30, so will have a couple hours… will likely do the Rockwork combo's off Flank. Haven't been up to that section in a while.

if you do make it up that way, beware a few face slapper alder bunches that are still on the first part of the decent, apparently I didn't walk up high enough with the clippers last week….going to get back up there tonight hopefully to remedy that…also, the first 4-5 switchbacks are still old school flat/off-camber, so, you know, foot out, get loose!

Got a quick lap on Rockwork, Korova, Wizard's, Lower Beaver yesterday. I always forget how ridiculously aesthetic Rockwork and Korova are.

There's still one section on Wizard's that I can't figure out…. not on the 29'r. Who am I kidding… probably not even if I took my big bike. Although by the clear walk-around line, I'm not the only one.

I tried a couple cell phone selfies on the timer, but then decided I just wanted to flow the trails as they ride better that way. It's hard to get anything good balancing a cell phone on a rock and basically track standing for the photo, but the rock slabs are so sweet.

Here's what Korova looks like with a proper photograph by Krabbe in an article Seb wrote a couple years ago for Bike:

Apparently the best way to do that is to take a video, then grab stills from the video.

Rode Emerald zone on Saturday in the dry with the boy while the girl was Ziplining with Grandma.

Did a double lap. One down Shit Happens, but hitting all the "new" lines that turned no flow into full flow. Then a second lap turning off Shit Happens into White Knuckles and No Girlie Man. Part way through, the boy goes… "this trail has no flow". Priceless.

He still loved it… he claimed he needs to "work on his technical riding".

Did a late ride today once most the showers dissipaited on the Zappa Trails. They ride so well even when wet. Nice father's day post food and soccer ride with the family.

Hi, curious what's the best way up to Rockwork, Korova, etc? Looks like a ride up Stonebridge Place, then a short trail to Flank (not sure of name), right on Flank to Rockwork, then Korova. Or is it better the other way (i.e. Whip me up to Flank, left on Flank)? Also, can anyone tell me where Wizard's is? Any advice appreciated.
Cheers

Stonebridge is probably the better route up, and saves you riding up past the trails you're going to descend on.

Wizard is super easy to find if you ride Rockwork and Korovo first - it's the obvious trail on your right, a little way down the flank from the exit of Korovo.

Does Wizard end on Whip Me or Beaver Pass?

yes, it's an old logging/access road, but more trail like these days

So you could start at Stonebridge and climb up to the Flank go over to ride the Clockwork Orange trails to Wizard. Then east along Whip Me and back west along the Flank. Then Pura Vida or High Society on down.

yes kind of, turn left on WMSM and climb, then left on Flank…but the climb up the Flank from the Rainbow Falls side is on the steep side of the spectrum…
