like to see fox or one of the other sponsors throw out some freebee clear water resistant jackets on rainy days like today.
Buy your own damn jacket and be prepared. Would you expect an extra sweater handed out on cold ski day?

You do realize that's probably the most dangerous part of the mountain right? Ever looked on the other side of that berm? It's a fall to your death..
At the very least, a grom should sweep that berm once a week. I don't think whistler realizes how dangerous it is. All it will take is one person going over it to change their mind though..
All a bigger berm would mean is more people taking that corner at high speeds. Which, would increase the chance of someone fucking up and getting destroyed.
As it is right now, I think it puts off people from going full speed into it unless they know how to turn pretty good.

I think you have a point there - that corner is fine flat out; there is loads of support there. However, as it is so low it puts most people off riding it fast unless they are confident in their cornering ability.
make the lift tickets cheaper

Get a job.
The passes are cheap compared to the winter season.
They're even cheaper considering what you get out of a 10-8pm day riding on a mountain where people from around world just dream of coming to and it's in our own backyard.
… good.. bad.. I'm the guy with the gun.
Keep up the great work on extending Crank it Up further and further down the hill. It's awesome the way that trail can cater to several different riding levels at the same time.

lol? u dont know how much a season pass in germany is, do you? and how many different lines u can ride in such a "bikepark"? usual 1-4 lines, "bigger" parks have 5-6! lines…

:
No shit. If anything make them MORE expensive (especially the season passes that are really cheap) and use the extra money to pay for more trail builders!!!
When you look at the cost of a season pass vs the cost of the equipment, I'd rather put a little less in the bike and have even more killer trails (more trails would also mean less damage from the crowds!)
Have some trails days where people who want to ride but are really broke can spend time maintaining trails under some skilled supervision in order to get free tickets.
Everybody wins!

There should be only 1 priority. Get more tech lines from the top of Garbo
Once that is done, then let's fix the ladder bridge on Old School. That thing creaks more than my knees and the stringers are only as big around as my penis. That thing is going to fail one of these days and since I'm about the only one that rides it, it'll probably be me that's on it!
I learned the hard way to towel off my bike before the dog. I'd rather have a slightly oily dog than a hairy bike.
^Wow down there tiger… More expensive? Are you kidding me?
The thing cost $300.00. Now factor gas into the equation, stay, food, extra caricular activities… the place is already expensive enough.
I would definately get out and do a trail day on Whistler but… we have a hard enough time doing it with the Shore.
(Side note… it was great to see the new faces on the trail this past weekend and also great to see the people that continually come out to everyone. It makes my writing your name out so much easier!)
Making it more expensive would limit the people that could afford to go there!

GOOD GOD MAN THEY MADE THE THING OUT OF TOOTH PICKS?
Edit… Random speculation… that is all!
old school: it's not bad… i ride it.

A trail named "Silverstar" and it would have big berms plus that wooden berm/wallride. basically taking the highlights of silverstar and putting it all in a single trail in W.

and entire ski run steeze course like the one off crank it up etc they used for nationals
Just for the record…
This is my second season riding and I hit Whistler for the first time ever on Aug. 19 2006. It was paradise. There were 6 of us who made it over from the Island that day; 1 of us is pretty good, 2 of us like to jump and ride a bit hard, and 3 of us like to to take it a little bit slower. We were treated well all day as far as I know. Even when we didn't know where we were going, were bashing into each other, were slowing down for most jumps on FT/DM/A-L etc. So thanks.
