Pan pacific mountainside was my haunt before we committed.

Best place for bikes bar none.

That said, I noticed prices nearly tripled over this past winter, dunno what summer prices are going to do.

If you can get a "last minute accommodation" deal (through the Whistler/Blackcomb site), the Westin is a good spot - in the heart of the village and with secure bike storage. It's where I stay with the family and I've always had a good experience there.

Aava is great. They have secure valet bike storage, a bike wash and tune station, and good rates.

Also with "last minute accomodation", the Listel is ok bike-storage-wise. Not the greatest hotel experience (a little sterile), but I had a pleasant stay there. Too expensive witout the "last minute" deal.

For an anniversary I would pony up for Westin or Pan Pacific. Aava is nice and comfortable (my personal fave value wise) but not as lux as the others.

Hopefully summer prices aren't insane like winter was this year.

Summer prices used to be cheap. Not so much anymore I'm afraid. Summer is the growth area for Whistler/Blackcomb.

When we stay at the Listel, I put a lock on my bike inside their bike storage room. I also take the seat off. Who knows, it might help prevent theft, Some of the hotels will let you inside the bike storage room to place a lock on your bike. Coast Blackcomb puts all the bikes into a chain link fence area. Anyone with a room key can get into that compound. You have to place a lock on it then.

FYP.

And yeah.. Just had a look for June 17.. 'only' 100% more expensive than what I was paying last year.

Fairmont Chateau Whistler, hands down, secure bike valet (like your car) and lux accoms for 17th Anniversary, tell them that and you'd probably get something in your room too. Near Lost Lake trails too.
