I don't know anyone who can ride the Bike Park for ten hours straight anyway, except maybe some of those pre-pubescent groms that have not discovered girls yet.

if the gondy is closed does that mean "hikers" will be using the Fitz with the bike park users ???

or will be hiking be closed ???

oh yeah what about skiers ? do they also have to use teh Fitz when teh bike park first opens now ?

Skiing closes on April 21 on Whistler this year.

shit this sucks opening may 19th and the gondy is closed till july!!! it is going to be soooo busy why do the always do the gondy service when the bike parks open they did it last year too. and to the 10 hour bike park thing he did make a good point but i can go all day in the park probably because i dont go up as much as some people tho

Blackcomb will mostly take the sightseers, as the always do, the Gondy is getting a total refit, new cars I heard, and its old, needs the work for sure, just come up for the weekdays……I wanna know what the dual slalom will be/look like.

damn i can only go up weekends but ya i am for sure extatic for the new dh course and dual slalom, the dual will be so much fun racing friends down

Yeah, that gondi was a bit sketch, what with them pulling metal out of the gears
all last summer. Maybe they'll put some vents in the new cars so it's not like an oven haha!

What are the conditions like in early June? I read Tom's reports, but it sounds a little too cheery. What percent of the mountain is usually open by then? And is it really muddy? Thanks!

o my its horrible theres puddles everywhere the trails are shit and the weathers crap dont come till july 1st ;) or during the week when im in school

Crankworx has added a Dual Slalom to the event list,so I am assuming they will build a track before the race, hopefully along with the Boneyard and BX when they get built. mmmmmm back to back berms……
