By last one, you mean 4, just before the lilypad?

I haven't found it easy to go flat, but 2 requires a scrub.

Yup.  When you say 2, do you mean the one after the rock?  If so, I have to pedal into that one usually.  Then I have to scrub the third one... and then I usually tuck and pop 4.  Not this year.

I landed it to very fucking flat two times in a row yesterday and it freaked me the fuck out.

I meant to say 3, not 2. I still pedal into 2, but usually not a lot.

I don't know what changed on the trail, because this is my first year hitting it, but youtube videos from 2019 show a better start to the rock thing..

Visually it's exactly the same.. but the big one is scrubable for me now if I want, which is nuts.

Lineups were pretty brutal today. Managed two runs then gave up after the singles line was still backed up all the way the steps in the village. Didn't help that there was two lengthy stops of the lift and seemed like it stopped about 3 times each ride up. Also didn't see a sole on the trails (did two laps of dirt merchant to del Boca/aline).

Does whistler even care when it gets that busy? Seems like it only keeps getting busier and just wonder if there's ever any thought to the future of dealing with how brutal the lines get.

Most of the summer it was pretty quiet, but now any weekend day with decent weather (it did die down with the rain in the afternoon) is gunna be busy till the end of the season. No rain forecast for tomorrow so it's probably going to be busier. Thank God we can group people up and fill the chairs again though.

Last year there was a couple days around the fall when they stopped day ticket sales

I was up on Friday Aug 27 and it was pretty dead... it did rain the morning, got sunny and then clouded over, but no lines. Can't imagine mid Sept weekdays getting busy again with school and in theory less Americans coming up with summer holidays over.

It has never once died down on 20 degree beautiful weekend days at the start of September. Guarantee if you were riding today there will be barely enough to fill the first row of the maze.

If its sunny on a weekend from now on it will be mobbed, especially considering extended play is over...
