Nickel - is Garbo/Creekside still looking good to open this weekend? Any chance of their opening on Friday instead (I've got a day off)?

Cheers,

Seems like a lot of trails still closed in Garbo for this stage or do I have rose-tinted nostalgia? Or is the snowpack particularly troublesome this year?

Heard a rumor of understaffing but that's prob just idle chair talk. That being said hope all is good for the folk working there.

From the WB site, list of closed trails today:

Blue Velvet - Lower
Blueberry Bathtub
Una Moss
Hello Darkness
Bear Cub
Freight Train - Upper
More Duff
No Joke - Upper
Original Sin
Side Track
Captain Safety
Fatcrobat
Goat's Gully
In Deep

How are the tech trails running?

Historically, garbo hasn't usually opened until today (15th) or later.  There is much snow and trails are wet af in garbo. They're closed in an effort to not have the whole garbo zone detonate into a disaster. Plus, creekside has required the crews attention.

I would pretty much say that creekside and garbo are currently pointless to have open. blue velvet is fucked and the only thing open in garbo. So if you park at creekside you have to ride that out. then a long stretch of the road. Oh and delayed fuse and elixir are also closed, so if you want to ride creekside you get to ride southpark, which from my experience works better as a climb trail than a descent but YMMV. I totally understand trail closures, but by opening these lifts your asking for people to poach closures as they get fed up with having to ride roads. Maybe WB could update trailforks too? I went up creekside yesterday to spin a few laps and at a cursory glance everything appeared open, but upon arrival 2/3 of it was closed. I would have definitely driven to the village had i known that was the case.

None of this aimed at you Nickel, just hoping someone might read it.

I actually hate it when the Bike Park update trailforks, it clogs up the feed of valley trails when there's 40 trail condition updates all arriving at the same time.
