This could be shaping up to be the perfect storm. No Yanks, no Euros, only BC residents?

I feel like I  basically never stand in line at the park. The worst is Womens Night when they all load for their first lap around 4:30 -5. Maybe saturdays but i never ride saturdays anyway.

Pretty stoked, got a crazy good deal on an Airbnb on Blackcomb June 28-July 1. Was just planning on riding valley trails and Squamish with a buddy, but maybe we will get in a park day after all. Haven’t ridden a DH bike since I sold mine two years ago, will splash out on an Evolution V10 if it happens. Will be drinking at the condo and Handlebar.

What are the latest rumours around town? The province is expected to make an announcement on Monday regarding Phase 3 timing, guessing that could trigger plans? Sun Peaks and SilverStar have announced dates but guessing they may have to change them depending on public health guidance. Then again, they do not have the numbers that Whistler does.

The last one I've heard is Fitz for sure, Garbo maybe.

Book a three hour time slot, in which you can ride 10 laps.  Pass holders can book 2 days a week.

ALine/Dirty/Crabs closed.

If this is all true, hopefully it's a soft opening overflowing with caution and that in time life will get back to normal.

Also if true, the pass should be priced at $150.

This makes a lot of sense and would also deter people from coming from far and wide (at least those who only ride park and would not venture on to valley trails after their allotted laps)

They have done lots of great work there, putting in new flow jump lines in the last couple years.

I heard only Blue trails open and no bike park passes... starting up in a couple of weeks.

Love him or hate him, Meloff was up walking around talking to people. Who knows if it’s accurate but they also said blues only, Garbo opening but no Creekside. 60 ppl in Fitz line at a time.

Hopefully the rumours of a Wednesday announcement are accurate.

That all seems to ring with what I've heard too - blues only, $40 for 3 hr window that has to booked in advance, max headcount each day, no season passes. Let's see what happens...

Dude is a bit of a kook isn't he? First off, quit walking up past the no entry signs.

Second, garbo isn't very likely to open same time as fitz, unless fitz doesn't open for weeks. Still lots of snow.

Third, nothing happened on lowest Canadian open, there's no fresh berm and dude is talking nonsense.

Fourth, I have no clue what he was pointing at in creekside but I'd be rather surprised if any staff have even been over there.

Fifth, the black or no black thing applies to flow trails as far as I've been told. Don't expect a-line for opening day. Stuff will get prepped in case the situation changes though, hence the machines at the bottom. Tech trails will be open or closed based on conditions or issues needing fixing.

The overlords will hopefully inform us in a more definitive way sometime soon.
