I wonder if this situation will cause WBP and others to sell seasons passes much further in advance than they do now?

I buy my Cypress passes for the following season in February. I find it strange that you buy WBP immediately before the season starts, or even after it starts. I’d buy them a year in advance for a massive discount. WBP has to be feeling that they’d be better off today having sold a bunch of passes already. Now, who knows when they’ll get that income.

I just received notice that the super early bird pass for Whistler Olympic Park has been extended for early April to September. I’m guessing many people will not pay up front now for something that may not happen next winter. Might be an overly pessimistic view but but I think it’s good that extensions like WOP have offered are a good thing.

Whenever I ride that part of Schleyer under the chairlift, I think my tires are gonna slide out, cause that rock is always wet.

Same. I never have yet, but I think about it every time.

EVERY. DAMN. TIME. I have never had any real crashes on Schleyer, but am always conservative there. I try to jump high, and go slight left once I land, down to the dirt.

I sprained my AC joint early last season when I hit a tree on the section at 0:51 of this video. Going way too fast & lost my balance for a second.

My fave lap. Finished off with lower A-line.

That slippy rock has never given me any trouble but I once had a mega crash right at the end of Schelyer. Popped off the last step down and blew my hand off the handlebar somehow. Tumbled into the ditch just before the road. Got up, dusted myself down and luckily I was OK. But getting back on the bike I realised I'd snapped by Boxxer at the brace. How I didn't get hurt I have no idea.

Struggled with the left turn at 25 seconds of this video until a friend advised me to take a wide turn, then ride down the rock face. It sets you up better for the corner at the bottom. (Rider is not me).

This makes me sad.  At best, I can't see us riding until the dry and dusty season, if we're lucky.

I agree, Red. Looks like spring is out. We can hope for the dry & dusty days of summer in the park. Hey, the way things are going, I'd gladly settle for September.

I'll settle for no flow trails if need be.

How many foreign workers does whistler need to operate? If all the Aussies, Brits etc have gone home then how will those jobs be filled? I can't see flights back on track until a vaccine is ready.
