Hey nickel, are you in a capacity to comment on Crabapple?

I see it was rebuilt... maybe in September

D1 opens soon, then maybe DM once safety feels good about how things are going. Crabapple not on the table right now unfortunately. Personally I'd like lowest Canadian open to be next as it's my favorite egress trail.

Anyone know if Fade To Black is going to open soon? It might be open now, but I haven't been near that section in weeks.

I heard they are cutting out all the wood work in Fade to Black and making it another blue flow trail

(just kidding, but could you imagine the uproar!)

No.  F2B still closed for the foreseeable future.

Current closure list: f2b

Lowest Canadian open

Pro line merchant

Crandle hits

Afternoon delight (fresh work got wet during monsoon. Opens again soon when it isn't mud anymore. )

Parts of blue velvet for maintenance and also wetness

Goat's gully getting a big maintenance cycle so closed for a while

That's it afaik.

Not complaining, but last time I was thru Goat's I asked myself "Is this even worth it?" It's a given that it's gonna be rough, hence the rating, but I remember thinking of the punishment my bike was taking. I guess it's a fine line between needed maintenance taking place & making it too smooth. The bike park crew usually does a good job of finding the right mix.

I know what you are saying. I liked it. Kinda like one of my favourite Cypress trails in a bike park. Pretty unique really.
