Land in Whis late on Fri 18.00 ish possibly enough time to get to guest services to pick my pass up but.. I am sure when I was there last for CWX (around 2014) the lifts opened a little bit earlier like 9am or so, anyone know if they are open earlier this week? I have googled btw. I am frothing with excitement :-)

I only got there early once this week.. to do some warm up laps for the AirDH.  They let the non-racers onto the lift at 9:30 that day at least.

It's all good people...

The EZDI tourists will be in for a treat now. Plenty of spots to watch from, and the size of the drop alone will likely keep them on their trail.

The hip seems to be claiming a lot of people though.

Finally Whistler gets a good sized gap drop. Hope it says in place unlike the clown shoes drop that was sanitized.

Speaking of DH racing, Is there anyway to spectate the DH race on Sunday without a lift ticket?

Plenty of interesting sections are a short (5-10 min) walk from the base. They'll have a walkway marked for pedestrian spectators.

i dunno which clown feet drop you're talking about so I'll compare to f2b.

it's a decent slice bigger but easier in the sense that it does not require a speed check from trail speed, nor does it require a weird move. everything lines up and the corner is some ways down trail. 

so intimidation factor is higher but skill factor is more benign.

Definitely easier to get in there and watch without your bike. Walk up the (very side of the) road past the boneyard to where you see the road gap. Start walking up the side of the track. loadsof fun spots to watch along the way.

I just meant the big wooden one at the end of the trail, is there another one I don't know about? My brain...

Edit - DM I found another video of new DM, it's still pretty terrible with the cuts and camera angles though.

Where is BCPOV, Jordan Boostmaster and the likes?
