I am planning to ride Sunday as well but not sure if it will be worthwhile if there are a lot of closures for the race.
Where once I was frothing at the new Dirty section, my apprehension grew when one of the trail crew guys I knew referred to it as, "gnarly as fuck". Guide I was talking with confirmed.
The thing that scared me the most though was Remy saying, "It is fucking big".
Is the new line going to be proline? I was going to do an EZ lap today to scope it out, but the EWS said NO.
PS: Riding the park during crankworx is like going to Richmond to drive.
new dm will be called pro line at least for a while to get it into people's heads that things have changed. however, i would not call it "gnarly as fuck". there are no case ramps on the drop and some of the features are gaps with no ride around lines.

Will it be possible to pre-ride or walk it somehow? Or will it need to be done on your first shot?
of course, however pre riding will require walking a feature or 2. the drop over easy does it has no downramp to avoid the landing being a pothole mess like every other drop with a down ramp.
if there ends up being a sampling during cwerx the rutabaga overpass won't be done either so that will also be a mandatory drop.
it would be wise to check things out before committing.

Land in Whis late on Fri 18.00 ish possibly enough time to get to guest services to pick my pass up but.. I am sure when I was there last for CWX (around 2014) the lifts opened a little bit earlier like 9am or so, anyone know if they are open earlier this week? I have googled btw. I am frothing with excitement :-)

Seeing that and hearing of a road gap over Easy-Does-It likely means I'm out as well.
Also how likely is it that Easy-Do'ers will get onto Dirty? I've seen people climbing down the entrance on rental bikes.

such modesty! that lip is a hip so don't go thinking you're supposed to end to end that sucker. it's tall as all get out to provide a bit of a speed reset though, which does make it intimidating.
As for the gap over ezdi, there's a wooden fence to prevent anyone getting back into dm who didn't hit the drop. it's obviously not impossible to climb over it but you certainly can't just ride into the landing.
the trail's not all the way done but will be opening for a few days to let the people have a try of the parts that are done. hope you like it! I'll be lapping it after my air dh run for sure!
