GT announcement is official on the other MTB site.

I thought I read that WBP was considering opening at 9 or 9:30am on weekends this summer? The website says 10am again. Would be awesome to get an earlier start to beat the crowds and then leave early to beat summer traffic back to the city...

The melt is on but it's gonna be a while. I have a feeling they will be excavating the trails this year. Still lots of snow on the ski out to Creekside on Saturday.

still 1+ feet of snow at the bottom of lower tunnel vision in bayshores with minimal dirt showing...poked around AMPM last night with the mutt, more dirt showing but still at least 2 weeks away I bet, still deep snow on microwave road, farside/riverside is compacted snow and ice

I hiked up Flank from the Function end the other day. Snow became continuous and not rideable about 100 metres or more from Short Bus.

I hear AMPM is good to go now, but Lee said on another forum still 1+ meter at top of Fitz. Gonna be a lot of digging in the next 3 weeks, guessing a partial opening at best for the long weekend. Hopefully the trails don't get super trashed if so.

At least there's some high pressure forecast finally.

AMPM has been good for the past week, a few of us have put over 20 hours of digging into it already, a re-route under construction, berms re-shaped, new jump just before the bottom section, and capping and a new bridge at the end.

IBT at AMPM junction is still super deep, checked out westside last night, middle danimal has extensive snowy sections a couple of downed trees and a section of trail tread that's been pulled up because of a couple of big leaner trees

WTF? Vail resorts makes money, don't they? At least a one day free pass would be in order for everyone that comes out & digs.

They're offering beers and prizes.

I can't make it but offered to go any day up until then to dig out The Merchant.  For free.

Agree. They should be recruiting every new Aussie/Brit in town and trading 50 hours of hard digging for a season pass to the park and some beer. Send an army out there and save the free volunteer hours for WORCA.

My first run of the year was always Schleyer, but now in my old(er) age I've switched to After Atlantis. Just kidding, I been doin' a warm up lap of B-Line last few years. Hope the rock faces aren't too slick when the park opens.

I tend to warm up on bline every single day.  Such a great underrated trail, think i have had more wrecks trying to not break on bline than anything else
