I run 2.35" Schwalbe Magic Mary Evo SG TLE VertStar tires, or 2.4" Maxxis DHRII SuperTacky.

EVO SG is their reinforced sidewall folding bead tire. Wire bead Mary is a standard dual-ply DH tire.

Stay away from the Bike Park edition of Mary's. Unless you want instant death. Serious.

From a PB email I received in response to an earlier article comment on an article this summer.

Those tires suck, they're sketchy as f*ck.

Did alright on trails but on DH and bikepark they're down right scary. Good looking out!! Took me some elbow flesh but I hear ya…

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

I also heard the Bike Park version of Magic Mary's are scary. Slippery on rocks and poor sidewalls.

Go DH casing Vertstar compound 2.5 width. They are a bit slow on the jumps but are grip monsters everywhere else. Don't think local shops sell 2.5 Magic Mary's though so you'll have to make an order.

Bike park is the same as Performance, something you see on entry level bikes and to be avoided at all costs. The Performance line sucks ballz

… 2.35" Schwalbe Magic Mary Evo SG TLE VertStar tires …

These are exactly what are on the new rig, looking forward to trying them out. I've got 2.5" DHF Super Tacky DH casing on my old bike which I have been loving this season.

Thinking of coming up tomorrow for a rip - a bit of rain shouldn't stop us.

How's everything running? I gather a bit better now that there is some moisture in the soil (vs a few weeks ago)

Looks pretty wet on the webcams…

Had a few physio sessions this week and the shoulder is improving. Got lucky and it's just an AC sprain, no real subluxation of the tendons thankfully. Doing rehab work in the gym and trying not to get fat, might go for an easy XC next week.

RT86 Ice-tech rotors are in the mail and almost here which will complete the new bike, can't wait to test her out… probably gonna find myself at CGP in October after Whistler closes.

Oct 10 was what I read for last day, so bit of time left. Or has that changed? :|

God I hope not hoping to get a day in around then.

Almost got it down to a buck a chair and I'm still bummed the season is almost done.

This weekend is going to be stupid I suspect.

WALK-YOUR-BIKE guy is back. Haven't seen him for many months.

The new trail has now snuck its way into D1 (which is closed). The entry to said trail has about seventy blue lines saying "FUCK OFF YOU CUNTS". Any 8-balls wishing to prognosticate if this gets to be eaten before May 2017?

If you like the WBP, you'd be pretty dumb not coming to ride right now. So much butter.

almost certainly No dice on the new trail for this year. It'll be real close but theres a few odds and ends to button up. We tried to get it for this year but it's just not looking like it. I suppose if the stars/weather/spirits/shakras/gods align, there might be an outside chance on last day. Don't hold your breath though, you'll probably suffocate and die.

As you noticed, new trail took over D1, which has therefore come into a face lift in the process. Also likely an early 2017 affair.

Fatcrobat reopened today. I bet you'll probably like it. Get it before it rains (we'll close it again if significant rain comes along). If you skid, we'll find you, and we'll make you apologize ;)
