Ended up going 2.5, thanks for the votes. Had just heard MM's roll slower than Minions overall, nothing specific about 2.5 vs 2.35 MM. Anything should be a big step up from the old 2.4/2.3 HR II's on the ex-rental I just bought.

I'm almost ready for new tires. Magic Mary DH Verstar Wire in a 2.5 is what I was thinking.
Good choice?

Its a big tire. Almost looks like a moto tire. I wouldn't say i found it too big, but it was close. I personally stick with the 2.35 cos im sub 150lbs. Bigger dudes won't have a problem with them for sure

Interesting differences in preference from everyone. Personally I can't wait for plus size DH tires to hit the market. I'm pumped for 2.8 minions. I find rolling resistance to be such a minor issue in the bike park that it borders on irrelevant. I'm hoping to be running a 2.8 front paired with a 2.5 rear ASAP.

2.4 High Roller 2 front and back.
A bit higher pressure @ 24/28 PSI because I'm not careful about where I land ever.

Was up yesterday, didnt realize there was a race. Lines were rediculously long and slow seeing as how theres so many people who are able to cut the line. Pretty much just stayed up in garbo all day as freight train was running pretty good

I've got to admit, I don't have the skills to notice the difference in rolling resistance.

Wouldn't one notice the rolling resistance more on flow trails than tech? If so, our past Air DH winner would show it ain't the case…

Double-sided tape day is over tomorrow… Hope we get rain before cworx.

Are you getting over that step up on lower Aline yet?

Most of the time. Something seems different in front of it.. that little step down might be a little higher? I feel like if I hit it right I get a really good pump off of it before the berm.

Nothing is different other than the trail having had a winter to bed in and settle.

As for rolling resistance on tech goes, it's not black and white. If you can carry more speed out of corners with meatier tires, you'll mostly negate any increase in rolling resistance.

That step up rides good now. I find the corner is better now so you can no brake it. Before it used to have bomb holes in it

Now that Creekside is open, anyone know the deal on parking on the roof in the summer? Since we have a roof rack it's a pain to unload/lock the bikes, park and then come get the bikes. Called WB guest services (WB seems to run Creekside parking) and they weren't sure.

I'll do a drive-by at some point next weekend either way but it would be nice to just park on the roof there and avoid the village or bike load shuffling.

I don't know how the WBP crew did it, but as I landed the deepest I ever have this aft a loud thunderclap let loose for all those in Whistler to bear witness to my accomplishment.

Glad I pulled the chute after that lap because everything has been closed since.

(And a huge shout out to the pilots dousing Khyber… You couldn't pay me enough to fly in those tin cans in conditions like those).
