jsut as the bike park closes is a great time to buy in Whistler. Now is a terrible time to buy. I have often thought about buying bikes in fall as people cant/wont take them home, then selling in the spring for profit.

Yeah, I kind of want to experiment with buying some winter gear on good deals and flipping it in the fall, easier to store than bikes.

I will probably be selling my '15 glory, top spec aluminum frame, in the fall.

Or just buy Magic Mary's from b-d.de and sell them for $40 cheaper than the B[HTML_REMOVED]B and make an easy $20.

Figured as much, thanks gents. Might pick up a rig in the fall and sell mine the following spring… wife will be really happy with an extra bike in the gear room I'm sure.

Setup a pirate tire and brake pad shop in lot 5 weekends from 9-10am. Pay for your pass easily haha.

This has also crossed my mind…

I usually buy a 5 day WBP pass but this year I know I won't be able to get up there enough to justify a 5 day pass… I'll probably end up going 1-3 days though so I am wondering if there is a way to get a slightly cheaper rate than just buying at the ticket window? I see on the website that they have a $4 discount if you buy lift tickets 5 days in advance - is this my only option?

With these warm temps I'm thinking they will announce a May 14th opening in the coming days. Looking at last year they announced May 2 opening on April 20 but it was even drier.

some interesting refinements coming….Brian Finestone led a walk through the lower park for the ski area assc conference today. Crank it up more looks super rad too, Bowland's got a sweet eye, can't wait to see how it sets up!

Thanks for the heads up. More time for you guys to do your thing is all good to me. Another weekend of pedaling in Squamish or the SSC then, life is tough.

They really neutered HOD last season, didn't they? That trail used to be a brakes-off ripper. I guess they had to, since it's a collector trail [HTML_REMOVED] making it easier fits in with their marketing strategy of appealing to new/beginner riders. (Just watching some helmet cam of last season.)

they couldn't not, literally gets 100g+ riders a season….and heavily mixed level

There is a sharp right turn on Goat's Gully that I've never been able to master. You go across some woodwork, take a sharp right around a tree then go down a steep rock garden. Anyone who rides the trail will know the section I am talking about. The rock garden is pretty rough [HTML_REMOVED] I've never been able to let 'er go thru it. I guess speed would be a factor; don't stall out.
