whistler is awesome but when I was up there riding the park last week I was thinking about its Achilles heel:

The resort is north facing. You get this low angle sunlight that can be difficult to see especially this time of year. Place would be perfect if it was flipped 180. Canada being so far north on this planet south facing is where its at. Carry on.

Skiers/riders wouldn't want it any other way.

Looking forward to checking out Fatcrobat and Angry Pirate on the last day, anything else new recommended? Now that the last day is looming the cat can come out of the bag :D

Snowing heavy to the village most of the day today.

Back to rain now.

Garbo has got to be 10-15cm deep.

I might not even ride today.

I think there might have been a total of 3 riding the park this afternoon. At one point the lifty told me I was officially the only one riding the fitz chair. Turned to rain before closing. Top of the gondola before noon.

Well that doesn't look good
How was the top of the Fitz chair looking? Should I even bother?
I could go the other direction and try Vedder or something.

Worth riding tomorrow (Sunday)? Saw a clip with snow on Dirt Merchant, are trails a total mess to the bottom with the snow that low?

Slush on the wood, especially offload ramp had me worried but no problems. Garbonzo had no tracks/riders. Rivers were running down the trails in a few spots, only hit one puddle that was more than axle deep.

Angry Pirate may be too soft to reopen. Only other closure was c-more, did it ever open? and garbo. Early saturday the gondola wait was longer than a fitz ride and not many sightseers so lots of empty cabins going up.

Still had fun chillin' and riding in the golden fall sunshine, even with 20-minute lineups.

Trails are in very good shape. Jump trails are running a bit slow but it just makes you try to go faster. The lineup is massive though. And its cold. Great last day so far.
