Hey Board readers, here is a quick update:

The snow has melted at a fantastic rate and we now have almost all of the lower Park ready to open for the weekend. Marty has been working on Dirt Merchant rebuilding some stuff and making things BIGGER. When you hit it for the first time this year, do a RECON lap first so you don't get zapped by something that was not there at the end of last year!

Cowan is cranking along in the Boneyard and you can probably tell by now that it will be a different set up this year with the Cross course intermixed with the Slopestyle. This will be a unique layout that we hope will bring some more life to that part of the hill. The BY features will undoubtedly be gnarly but we would not want it any other way for the big show. How else are we going to see what Semenuk has been working on all winter!

We will also have more room for the Dual Slalom track and hope to offer up a fresh new design for head to head racing again this year. As for requests for a mulch pile in the BY area, I will see what we can do but suggest you get an Airdome Pass in the mean time.

Hope more of you can get up here for your first rides of the Park season. To the Yanks in the ranks have a good long weekend. See you on the patio.

I hit the hill yesterday and it is in great shape. We had blast and rode until our legs couldn't hold us up anymore.

There are a few surprises so make sure you do the recon run Finestone suggested before applying full zest.

Heading up tomorrow to see how many people can pass me in the air.

Got the chance to work around Marty on the Cypress World Cup skier cross course. His skills in a cat are god like. Can't wait to see what he does to freshen up Dirt Merchant.

I can't wait to check out the park tomorrow!

I'm also very curious to see the changes to Dirt Merch. I'm sure it'll be sick!

It was open…the lips have been changed so a ride-through is a good idea. The berms have been reworked and are amazing!

What else is open? And what are conditions like? I'm trying to get up this week.

Fantastic, crab apple single track and lower angry pirate are closed. Everything else is open. There are some wet spots from snow melt but overall the park is in great shape.
