I think it would be easier for them to make a list of what is NOT burning in that area. It must be shorter.

The forest needs fires. Sucks when it affects towns and people but such is life.

Riding through old burns is pretty cool though.

Here are a few pictures before and after the weekend on the Tenquille trail exit at the end of Pemberton Meadows.

We managed to get back in this morning about an hour before it was closed except for emergencies.

Agree with the forest needs fires, especially important for new growth- one tree species if I recall correctly needs fire for the seeds to germinate.

It's so strange to see a forest fire without huge flames, just smoke.
It's very unusual for me.
3 days ago we had a forest fire around my place (like 15kms ago), 180ha in 2.5 hours :(
It sucks..

call it karma, but just a couple weeks after getting the word out on the interwebz about the della trail, a bulldozer was run down the trail to create a fire break… :(

that sucks man, I guess no more days of 7 laps of della. The trail might be OK still who knows, we[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;ll have to see in the fall.
