buying PRINCIPLE residence rainmaker.

i caught that.

but like shirk said, just because a person buys a principle residence in a town, doesnt necessarily make them a local. it has more to do with what you do and how you act in that town.

buying a place anywhere just means that you have money.

Maybe for the rich. Normal homeowners don't have much left after a commitment like that. It just means you have a job and a desire to stay in one place for a long time.

I've only met one 'true' local adult (born and raised), but he just moved to Rossland (hopefully temporarily). The rest of us are all just wannabe's.

I've lived in a whole bunch of places, but this is the first one that I know for sure I'm not leaving. Maybe I'll never be a local, but this is where I'm stoked to call home.

I was up Diamondhead last weekend just for a drive and the snowline was fairly high but everything above the university is a muddy slushy mess. aka you shouldn't be riding it right now…it's January.

Squamish, is a powerful and often violent wind occuring in many fjords, inlets and valleys in British Columbia. Squamishes occur in those fjords oriented north-south-west or east-west, Where the cold polar air can be funneled westward before the wind usually flows along the coast.

The cats are experiencing my "powerful and often violent wind" at the moment. Come on wife, get out of the bathroom!

I was born in squamish general hospital. I'm more local than all of you..
and everyone knows the best way to become a local is to move here from quebec, because you can't afford to live in whistler, and stay here for a winter. Squamish Chief instantly calls you local

I'd like to move to Squamish. Sell my place in NV, stop being house poor. Ride sweet trails. Too bad I work in Bby. Was up there in the summer visiting an old friend, some of you know him as "brake" who used to own the bike shop in Pemby.
