Hmmm I hope they will leave some trees standing on the mountain when they finish all that construction…I wonder how much the bitchin' would occur if that clear cutting were done to construct MTB trails instead of the ski trails.

Great comment, and yeah…lots of bitching and moaning if it were clear cutting for MTB.

But, it is private land, so what can we do.

I expect the crew already has put in place a contingency plan to cut an entirely new line that will circumvent the Olympic construction. So, we'll be without No Joke for the rest of this season, but I bet something even better next year.

On that note, I'm stepping up the sense of urgency to get up there this week. Likely take Wednesday or Thursday off to ride.

why would they clear cut for a mountain bike trail???

you should check out what they're doing for the new Piccolo lift if you're concerned about tree cutting!
