Recording whistler experience .....
The quality is good. An odowd (Dave) is a really nice guy. Will help you chop together the best video possible. You can call tantalus at around 9:45 (he is usually running behind because he is grabbing a coffee) and speak to him directly for more technical information.
He did have some movie segments (thats the level of quality) in a new movie called 9to5. There wasn't the usual crap video quality :)
Thats the link
I saw a guy yesterday at Whistler with an actual video camera fastened to the side of his helmet with an old tire tube. It was a crazy looking setup, but seemed to work for him. Nearly met with disaster when he tried to get water from the water fountain at the bottom of the chair, tho.
I learned the hard way to towel off my bike before the dog. I'd rather have a slightly oily dog than a hairy bike.
I've rented one from whistler action video with some buddies before. It's downstairs by summit in the village. It was around $100 for the day if I remember right and they put it on a dvd. Just make sure after the first run that you watch it and make sure it's set up right.

I found the video quality was a lot better on slightly overcast days. On days with bright sunlight the camera looked over exposed. With a bit of cloud cover the video looked really good.
He has also recently changed his camera to a better quality/capture than the old viosport ones. I got a little demo and was really impressed.

I was just going to say that. they are really fun also, and dave is a great guy. go check it out, he will set it up so you and a friend can rotate who is wearing it to capture the other rider.
it is in the basement of the summit bike shop right at the base of the gondola. he is tucked behind in a far back corner.
