That ^

Would love them sitting near one of the jumps on A-Line or Dirt Merchant that send you to space. Or perhaps one of the bigger drops like on A-Line, DM (the optional one) or Schleyer.

Hey everyone
I am the photographer setting up on these runs photographing all of the riders going by. This is something new we are trying this season at Coast Mountain Photography and I am stoked to be shooting it. I am open 100% to suggestions on where to set up and any ideas on making my project successful. So far I have chosen runs such as BLine, CIU, and HoD as they are runs that many different skill levels are able to do and therefore get photos of all types of riders. I have plans to shoot other runs, such as ALine and DM, and Ill try Schleyer as well as it looks like riders posting here may like it. My goal is to reach as many people as possible and all experience levels. I can set up in the morning on CIU and later on DM or Schleyer…I am open to suggestions! I will be in the park shooting this weekend from Thursday to Monday. I will have signs at the top of the Fitz Chair, Mid Station Gondi and bottom of Fitz in the lineup stating my location on the hill at different times in the day. Just check the signs and rock it for the pic! Ill also have a "PHOTO LOCATION" sign before the hit or corner so you know where to give'r. Thanks for the words here and keep the suggestions coming! Im also open to going for rides with groups of people to shoot on different runs (as long as the hill is slow at the time) so contact me here or at [email protected] to hook up! Thanks!

I'll let him know. The tombstone jump on DM and the berm right after is always a good location I think!

Schleyer's the way to go. I would love a shot of myself on schleyer, and so would everyone else I ride with, but like someone posted before, the traffic level is a fair bit lower then the jump trails so your plan of starting on another trail is probably the way to go. Hope to see you up there next weekend :D.

Hey is a flash gonna distract you guys if I want to set one up for the shot on Schleyer? The shot will be cool but I don't wand to distract riders and make them bail! Let me know!

Flashes don't really seem to affect anyone negatively at the races unless they go big for the camera specifically. If you do have a sign up then if people find they are distracted they will be prepared or avoid it all together.

hol-ee shit but that's a big hole

I don't think flashes distract riders at all. In fact they just fuel the little rockstar alter ego that lurks in the back of most people's minds… not to mention making the photos look better.

Another good photo spot might be the berm at the end of Shleyer - after the new step downs. It's out in the open too so better light than in the trees. Probably good for a puff of dust on a sunny day.

I have plans to shoot other runs, such as ALine and DM, and Ill try Schleyer as well as it looks like riders posting here may like it.

My three ideal runs on the lower mountain.

My goal is to reach as many people as possible and all experience levels.

Then the above three aren't ideal :)

I can set up in the morning on CIU and later on DM or Schleyer…I am open to suggestions!

The first of the last three jumps on lower A-Line is easy to fly on. (First one in this vid: http://vimeo.com/12830002) That would be a good one.

The jump on DM at 1:00 here: http://vimeo.com/12545063 would be a good spot. Also the jump just a little bit after at 1:14 would be dandy as well.

I will be in the park shooting this weekend from Thursday to Monday. I will have signs at the top of the Fitz Chair, Mid Station Gondi and bottom of Fitz in the lineup stating my location on the hill at different times in the day.

Have no idea if it's feasible, but any chance you could post it online? Even in a thread on here? Would be really handy to check it out while we're driving up.

Good luck! I'd be interested to see how well this works. I have a hard enough time getting people to pay $12 for a download that they can do whatever they want with.

Hey guys
Im gonna shoot the DM Tombstone hit and also a spot on Schleyer a couple of times on the weekend. Where do you recommend on Schleyer? When are these runs generally the busiest?

You might get some cool shots at the wooden drop on Schleyer, or some of the rockface rolls.

You shooting Friday?
