let me just finish choking down my foot here……I guess from my prespective, and others that I've talked to….over the past few years it seems that trails, while built nicely, have sometimes been opened before they've been ready (too soft) and it's resulted it mud pits, big holes in corners, and generally the trail ending up in less than ideal condition even though it's new, or newly rebuilt. I fully understand the pressures that must be placed to get things opened asap, and this time, it seems those pressures haven't fully been realized, and they're letting it set up properly before turning the masses on it, and I know a lot of people that I ride with, although extremely excited to ride this trail, are willing to wait till it's dry until that happens. so by 'properly' I mean 'willing to not rush to open'……..I'm not trying to slight the work that's been in the past tom, you know I love riding the park, hell I rode 4 days straight there this weekend doing top to bottoms! mmmm, that was some tasty foot…… :)
ok guys , first ( official ) report . . .
what can i say ? i'm stoked , to put it mildly . the only thing you could wish for is that it was longer .
we got four quick ones in this AM and i think my smile only got bigger each run , if that's possible . each run i said to myself , just roll it , feel the flow , but by the time i got into it , well you know how it goes .
get up here , check it out . it was well worth the wait .
trail crew set a new standard for this type of trail , huge props go to those guys .
