this sucks, one of my favourite trails on the mountain. They even did some work on it compared to last season, added wood to the wood birdge drop that goes over Crank-it-up.

So I assume they are not closing the lower section of the trail once it merges with Detroit Rock City.

All of lower joyride has not been decomissioned, just the foot-broom/bedrock part after the clownshoe/detroit rock/joyride merge-split. Sleep easy.

Sad to see the roller go, but good news about the rest of the trail.

Looks to be about 6 or 7 feet to the dirt tranny, or do they plan on putting in a wood landing area? Maybe it won't be so high once the wood goes in.

I have some video of the trail crew hitting that new wooden drop on my phone. The builder we talked to said it was 34ft from the take off to the landing but they would no tlet him open it until he built a case ramp. When asked what that was he said there will be a ramp going from the proper landing all the way up to just a few feet below the wooden drop. That way you can hit it at any speed. They also have to lower the lip after the drop as the guys we watched hit it flew off that all the way to flat past the trees…….

the case ramp s a little shallow I think, you could pre jump the drop and catch more speed down the case ramp into the booter….the new trail above this new drop is new, loamy, rooty, multiple line goodness……
