i feel bad posting here like one of the masses alas, i am one of the masses albeit from the Island who wants to experience these awesome trails.  dare i ask, is there a 'best' time to plan a few days to the  area to ride outside the park? i imagine it's another month or more before these are even passable?  lemme guess, the locals answer is sometime in October, haha.

Last year it was early August before it opened. I haven't been skiing in that area at all this year but I believe snowpack was above average so it will depend how hot the spring is. I can't see it being before mid July at the earliest.

August would be safe bet, of course it all depends on what the weather does in the next couple months....snowpack is still ~3m +/- at 1800m, which is what sproatt alpine is, it was less at this time last year.

later will be better for pretty much any high elevation trails this year as on average the provincial snow pack is about 170% of normal.
